HARD GAME Posted by: from: on Batman series is always among the most wanted games we people here have been waiting for. Now we have it! Through the initial play, I want to show you guys my thoughts. I'm not going to review the graphics, or the story line, or the music. Who needs to know that anyway, if you are a big fan in this series. I'm here to tell you what you can do in the game! That is the most exciting part, isn't it? You can free roam in the city. Btw, the Gotham City is five times bigger than the Arkham City. You are free to choose any mission in this free world. All the villains are teamed up against Batman! Big challenge. Their only mission is to sabotage Batman, and of course, your mission is to hunt them down. It is sometimes like a puzzle solving game. For example, you come to a crime scene, you listen carefully to the radio, and there is some distinctive music noise at the background, then when you roaming in the city, you happen to hear that music again, BANG, there goes your clue. You found a lead in the crime.

A great end to a great series Posted by: from: on None of the Arkham games have been flawless but they have all been close(not counting Origins). The free-flow combat is just as much fun as it's ever been. The addition of team up moves makes the mob combat more interesting as it allows you to switch back and fourth at will. There aren't many predator rooms which was kind of disappointing. The batmobile feels like a mixed bag as it's kind shoe horned in at times. The combat sections are good in the beginning but latter in the game the difficulty ramps way up and there are only a few upgrades you can get for it. The racing sections are also kind of clunky and take a lot of trial and error to get through. The story is well paced with plenty of twists that go into Batman's relationships with the rest of the characters, both ally and villain.

The Batmobile ruined this game Posted by: from: Los Angeles, CA on This game had so much promise. For the most part, it is a great game. Terrific story, great action, great voice acting, and lots of depth. However, it's newest addition, the batmobile, is what destroys the game. The car itself looks and sounds great, but it handles really bad. I mean shockingly BAD. Then the game forces you in the car constantly. In fact, most of the boss fights require the use of the car. That drove me nuts. I mean, who wants to fight Deathstroke in a stinking tank??? I don't . That's another thing I should bring up. The batmobile has guns on it. Therefore you will find yourself in a lot of "tank" battles. Way too many, if you ask me. At one point, near the end of the main story, you are thrust into 4 consecutive tank battles. Give me a freaking break. Over and over and over again. After while it becomes a huge bore. I play Batman games to soar above the skies, play the detective, fight bad guys and use gadgets, not this tank battle garbage. And don't get me started on the Riddler challenges, which also require the use of the batmobile. Wait until you get a load of his ridiculous race challenges. They are terrible. Take 90% of the batmobile usage out and this would be a terrific game. I really got the impression that Rocksteady just got lazy and ran out of ideas.

One of the greats! Posted by: from: on This game will go down as one of the best games of all time--certainly of the year. While it starts out a little overwhelming with the complexity of the gameplay and open-world (and move-at-your-own-pace) nature of the game, persistence is rewarded with a deep, engaging, and emmensely fun game. The story is compelling, the gameplay responsive and challenging, the graphics/aesthetic top-notch, and world immersive. There is very little in gaming that compared to driving the Batmobile at top speed, ejecting into the sky, and gliding across the city. Don't give up in frustration early on this game (as I almost did); stick with it and you'll be amazed at how close to "being Batman" this game gets.

Good game but too much Batmobile Posted by: from: MA on Last in a line of great arkham games, this game delivers on a great conclusion but to many repeat set pieces and a unforgivable PC launch

This game is overshadowed the other arkham games Posted by: from: on Don't get my wrong, I think there are many solid aspects to this game, but I think it feels less like Batman than the earlier arkham titles. The use of the Batmobile (and it is used a lot) throws off the immersive effect of being Batman. If it was used less, or in a less militaristic way (the Battank mode) it would feel more like Batman. It just feels like something other than Batman. The graphics, sound, and atmosphere of Batman is still awesome, and the hand to hand combat is still stellar, its just that the batmobile is stealing too much of the show. I would slightly recommend this game, but only after the other arkham titles.

Great game for fans of all genres! Posted by: from: Ohio on Comon, you get to drive the automobile around, that alone is worth 15 bucks! Such a fun game. You do get to walk around some as well so it's not all driving but the game is centered around it. You buy this game for 20 or under and know you got a steal of a deal with 50 hours of enjoyment!

Doesn't disappoint Posted by: from: on If you liked the previous batman beat 'em up games, then there's no excuse for missing out on this one. Gameplay in this one is the pinnacle of the series, and the story is fairly engaging as well.

Great open world/another Batman game Posted by: from: on This is just another Batman game but it looks great and has some good style to it. If you liked the other batman games I would recommend getting this one. If the old ones didnt win you over...you may be able to skip this one.
