Another good Batman Arkham installment Posted by: from: on What can I say that has not been said by the pro reviewers? My take aways. This is a good game in the franchise. I think Arkham City is the best but this is still worthy. The Batmobile mechanics are well done and integrate well tho I feel it is leaned on too heavily. It feels like Batman can't tie his shoe without the Batmobile. The tank battles I felt were fun but I concur it feels like a gimmick and not something I would see in a Batman setting. The story I felt was good. Confusing but didn't get too bothered if I didn't follow it all. A note on DLC's. The Batgirl Matter of Family and Season of Infamy were great. The other short character specific adventures like Catwoman's revenge and the like while good were too short for what they are. Batmobile skins and character skins didn't do much for me. The race tracks were okay. The challenge maps just don't do it for me. The cost of the Batgirl and SOI DLC's are such that if you can, buy the season pass. Best value and it has come down to half of its initial launch price and you can sometimes find it cheaper than that. I got the base game and season pass both on sale. Sure, this game is old news now but is a must have for your library. And none of the PC bugs or performance issues on console.

Best of the Batman series Posted by: from: on Batman: Arkham Knight is hands down the best of the Batman series. I will say it has a bit of a learning curve as it pulls all the best aspects from the previous titles and pushes them even further. The hand to hand combat seems very complex at first but gets easier as you progress - and the game does a good job of easing you into new moves. A lot of other people don't really like the Batmobile/Tank side of things, but I really did. It's nice to switch things up from gliding around the city and solving riddles on foot to blasting other vehicles in the Batmobile. There are tons of riddles to solve, characters to unlock, small side quests and surprises. I'm at about 80% finished and have loved the game, don't really want it to end. Go buy it.

Different Gameplay but Visually & Thematically Fun Posted by: from: on As many have mentioned the use of the Batmobile is both incredibly odd, frustrating at times but also very, very cool. Driving is relatively easy though there is a learning curve to being able to corner effectively in tight spots. I'm not a fan of driving games so overall I didn't care for the car/tank. More then once I was like, "Man, I'm doing far for damage to the city in this thing than any of the 'bad guys' are. The graphics are visually beautiful and the story is interesting and strong. While driving can be frustrating, especially with the Riddler story line, I would still recommend this game.

Could've been the best of the Batman games Posted by: from: on I really wanted to enjoy this game & sometimes I did. The combat has gotten even better since the last installment. The graphics are there & the game looks dark & gritty like Batman should. The down side to the game which completely ruined all of the good is the bat tank. They force you to use the Bat tank all of the time in almost every mission & side missions. The driving isn't bad but you just want to fly around & fight, not drive a tank.

Open World Action & Driving Posted by: from: Baton Rouge on With this game the fighting & action parts are good & fun. It has excellent play mechanics. It also has great sound & graphics. The Worst Part of this game is the emphasis on Driving the Batmobile (Which feels like a Tank). This part of the game is just not good and you're Forces to play through it to get to the engine.

Awesome Game! Posted by: from: on I love the Arkham series but was really blown away by this game. It looks incredible, gameplay is tight and there's a ton to do. The tank parts are a bit too frequent and the riddler races weren't my jam, but other than that this game is a ton of fun. Definitely recommend it!

Great Batman game, but too much batmobile! Posted by: from: on The game follows the great Arkham stories that been coming out over the past few years, but the new Batmobile is just overwhelming and detracts from the game. So many missions rely on it as the main bat-tool. I basically gave up on this game.

Fun game Posted by: from: on I think this is probably the best in me Arkham series. Has some good twists and the storytelling action as phenomenal as always. The controls have been refined as the game series has continued. The graphics are great and come in crystal clear. The amount of detail and some of the newer actions you can perform are mesmerizing.

Great final chapter to a great game series Posted by: from: on This final chapter in the Batman Arkham series does a good job of ending the series on a high note - the gameplay on the newest systems is much better than the previous console generation's games

Great game Posted by: from: on The fourth entry in the Arkham series is easily one of its best yet. Fun combat, a great story and new gameplay mechanics make this a really enjoyable game. Highly recommended.
