Pleasantly suprised Posted by: from: on OK let me start out by writing I was a huge fan of marvel growing up. In fact I'd say I owned one DC comic to every 100 Marvel,I'm not as familiar with DC back stories as I would be Marvel so I'm not sure how true to the material the movies are. Upon box office release of this movie there were many Internet forums hating the material and the director Snyder.Critic response was also across the board. In fact a lot of Internet entertainment articles were quickly saying the Warner Bros. DC uinverse was in trouble before it began and of course the mighty comparison to Disney and Marvel's better box office appeal with its own films. So where does my review stand? First off I was incredibly surprised by the film. It was so much better than I expected. Despite the Internet attempts to assassinate this films credibility anyone with a taste for superhero genres can see its a set up film for what's to come next and it does a great job. This also has to be by far the DC superman film fans have been wanting. Also Ben Affleck does a fine job as Bruce Wayne. I'd say the verdict may still be out as to if he's up for being a great batman but he's certainly better than most. Michael Keaton still is my personal favorite. I did purchase the 3d bluray and the film did great in that format I wouldn't say it blew me away but still a good investment.

Wish 3D version was the extended edition Posted by: from: on While I might be in the minority of individuals who really liked (and understood) Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, I was slightly upset by the fact that ieven though it came with an extended edition, and 3D version, those were two different blu-rays. Even with that being said, I was extremely pleased with the extended edition and the 3D version. This recalls two or three crossover episodes of the 20 year old "Batman: The Animated Series" and "Superman" series from the nineties. I'm pleased, and will recommend this to those who are fans of the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel.

BATMAN VS SUPERMAN 3d? Which side:Good or Bad? mm: Posted by: from: New york on "BATMAN VS SUPERMAN" 3d, IS IT good OR bad? I liked it, 3D is good, but dark in spots. BUT I have not had the opportunity to watch the 3-hour version as of yet. Good price at best buy for the $ though (truth in advertising: BEST BUY). I always love my movies in 3D. Thats mainly what I purchase. Havent bought new 2015 STAR WARS, due to waiting for 3D in Fall. Anyway, Affleck surprised me as Batman. Everybody was good. Other super hero movies have been better, but this one is good. WATCH IT, BUY IT. As commercial used to say in 1970s: TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT! I will be buying more super hero movies in 3D, like SUICIDE SQUAD. 3D all the way! Thanks,BestBuy!

BATMAN v SUPERMAN EXTENDED IS BEAUTIFUL! Posted by: from: Rhode Island on The extended version of Batman v Superman is like a different movie in a sense. There is so much more character development and a couple KEY explanations that I am blown away didn't make it into the theatrical version. The blu ray picture is fantastic. The sound is very rich and you can hear stuff happening all around you if you have a surround system. My ONLY real gripe is there is NO ITUNES DIGITAL HD copy. I despise ultraviolet digital copies. Other than that this is beyond worth it. If you like the theatrical you will LOVE This version. IF YOU DIDN'T LIKE THE THEATER VERSION THIS WON'T DO MUCH FOR YOU.

Awesome retelling of stories, but underwhelming Posted by: from: on I picked up this movie after so many of my friends were talking about it. After watching the complete 3+ hour extended version, I can say that it is a conglomeration of both "The Death of Superman" and "The Dark Knight Returns" I am disappointed that there wasn't anything really new here. Some of the lines from Henry Cavill sounded forced, but the real problems were given by the use of Geezer Batman from "The Dark Knight Returns"; the liberal gun use and slow fight scenes are a step away from what we expect from Batman. On the positive side, Ben Affleck does play a good Bruce Wayne. And as for Wonder Woman's appearance, it was superfluous and is completely transparent as the catalyst for the other team members in the follow-up Justice League movie.

Critics screwed this movie in theaters Posted by: from: Georgia on BvS Ultimate Version is AMAZING! I loved this movie in theaters but seeing the extended ultimate edition with extra cut footage.. the movie gets fleshed out more and some plot holes are filled in! BvS is a great movie to put 2 of the biggest Heroes on screen for the first time and provide a launching point for future individual DC and Justice League movies!

The best version. Posted by: from: on When I saw BvS in theaters I left thinking it was such a mess. Large parts of it felt confusing, and I did not get an understanding of characters motivations. This Ultimate editions fixed most of those issues by giving more backstory that helped explain things. Yes the ending is still a mess, but the journey there is way better.

Justice League preview Posted by: from: on Batman v Superman is a preview of what the Justice League will be. The first half of the movie is pretty much nothing but dialogue; however, the last hour is an epic fight scene that involves Batman, Superman, and introduces us to Wonder Woman. I love how Bruce Wayne / Batman plays detective throughout the movie to enlist the help of other superheroes to join his team, thus creating the Justice League. During the fight between Batman and Superman, Batman relies on his wits to create devices that help even the odds against Superman. This is a must watch before watching Suicide Squad.

So...yeah...Wonder Woman Posted by: from: on Its a good thing Wonder Woman was in this...she was basically the highlight. Unless you like over acting - Lex Luthor, under acting - Superman, or Cross fit - Batman. The movie was a tough one to do. I liked it more the second time I watched it (watched both the theatre version and the ultimate version). The ultimate version helped tell the story and had some additional fun scenes. The movie pace, editing just were not well done and makes you appreciate marvels well done complex fight scenes. They just tried to squeeze a tiny bit too much into it and some scenes were just not well scripted (yes..leave the building...unless that is a commentary on how we are always told to stay in the building...if so, kind of brilliant). Things I liked - Wonder Woman, a fresh breath of air from GG. She played it well and now I'm interested in at least one other movie. Jeremy Irons - always just right. How the press gets it wrong throughout. Amy Adams - also just right. Morpheus - red pill or blue pill? Biggest reason this got 2 instead of 3 stars? Ultimate edition is NOT available in 3D. The other deductions are based on the movie.
