Good, but some flaws. Posted by: from: Everett, WA on Enjoyed this movie. Great action and special effects. Decent story. Affleck and Cavill are good choices in their roles as Batman and Superman. Affleck was better than I expected. They could tweak Batman's costume so he doesn't appear to have a size 42" neck. I did question why Superman tells Batman that he's not there to fight, then proceeds to fight him. I think it would have been better handled to have Batman attack while Superman refuses to fight back to prove his point. Not sure I'm crazy about the casting of Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Maybe future movies will change that opinion. Now on to my biggest problem with this movie. These Hollywood directors and producers need to remember one thing. Superman is not Batman! Quite trying to make Superman dark and moody. That's Batman's shtick. Batman is the dark, while Superman is more of the light (I know, corny, but true) and with more personality Looking forward to the Justice League, but hope they put a little more warmth and personality in it than they did this movie.

Excellent Movie! Posted by: from: Hoffman Estates IL on The plot for this movie is kinda complicated to get if you don't try to make an effort to understand where the director is coming from,if you didn't like this movie simply cause of the "Martha" scene etc you might as well just stick watching cartoons for the next few years until your fully grown (but not very well developed) brain is ready for a true masterpiece like this one.... 5 Stars all the way up!

I put up with Ben Affleck just for Wonder Woman Posted by: from: on Ben Affelck as Batman???? Why, oh why God have you forsaken us???? Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman though, saved the film for me. Great entertainment, but if you like good plots though, you are NOT in for a treat....except for when Wonder Woman makes her appearance. Batman kicking Superman's behind, C"MON!!!! SPOILER ALERT- Batman only spares Superman's life because he finds out that they both have mothers named Martha???? Mosses smell the roses!!!!

Better representation of an imperfect film. Posted by: from: on I think critics were a little harsh on BvS, the fact that a film like Iron Man 2 or 3 could receive the rotten tomatoes scores they did but it was butchered seems somewhat unfair. However the fact that SO much was cut out of the film did hamper the overall presentation of the story and plot points. The directors cut doesn't save the movie in a sense that it's suddenly some unheralded masterpiece, but it does make it a much more enjoyable superhero romp through the darkness. Both the regular Blu (OF NOTE: the Regular Blu in the UHD/Blu combo pack is JUST the theatrical cut, don't ask me why!) and the Extended UHD disc feature amazingly nuanced Dolby Atmos mixes. If you're a home theater buff like myself already equipped for Atmos, you're in for a treat! The climactic sequences, in particular when (SPOILER) Doomsday erupts a giant bust of energy (END SPOILER) warrants purchase alone. The UHD video quality is overall VERY good but just a hint of a mixed bag. There was A LOT of varying sources for the footage - ranging from Digital high res to 65mm and down - and so the film can have some AMAZING looking sequences, and some that may come across a bit softer. All in all the film, which indeed is a intensely grainy and gritty visual experience, looks fantastic in 4K and UHD.

4K of an Amazing Ultimate Edition film!!!! Posted by: from: Jacksonville, FL on Same review from regular Blu Ray edition, just this time with a 4K resolution. AMAZING!!!! picture quality, and film is still awesome after 5 viewings now. This was a good film at the theater, but the Ultimate Edition tells sooooo much more to help understand some of the main points of film. Henry rocks as Superman once again, and Affleck brings a believable older Batman.....

The extended cut is worth the purchase Posted by: from: on So I didn't hate this movie when I originally saw it in the theater but I didn't actually love it either. The extended cut made me like it that much more. I'm typically a Marvel girl and I enjoy the humor that gets thrown in those movies. DC is the anti-Marvel in that the story lines are very dark and tragic. If you are a fan of the Dark Knight trilogy or one of the other reincarnations of Superman you won't find any of that here. Ben Affleck is actually a pretty good Batman in this version. Henry Cavill does a good job as Superman once again. And Gal Gadot, though given a small role until her own feature, ROCKS as Wonder Woman. The Justice League easter eggs were really nice too and got my inner fan girl all hyped up before we even saw a Justice League trailer. Overall, this movie is a good addition to the comic cinema-verse series. Can't wait to see what DC does next. *Trying hard not to write a review without spoilers lol

BIG SUPERMAN FAN Posted by: from: on Love superman, so glad they redid the last one with Brandon Routh. Love to see all the DC heroes getting on the big screen together. Fight scenes were great!

Ultimate edition 4k and bluray Posted by: from: on The movie itself is great. I bought the 4k & bluray version for future 4k tv/bluray player purchase.. The fact that wb didn't include the ultimate version on the bluray is very disappointing. Just on the 4k and digital download, IN VERY FINE PRINT. Didn't even notice until I called back to complain. It would have cost min/zero to include ultimate bluray. Would never have purchased if known.

My opinion is, I enjoyed it Posted by: from: Bronx, Newyork on I know this movie has gotten a lot of hate. My opinion is yes the has flaws. But I still enjoyed it, the action, cinemotagraphy, and soundtrack were all positives. The story was a bit on the weak side. But the biggest issue I had was some of the scenes werent really needed. The theatrical cut could of done without 15-30 Minutes. The directors cut should of done that and would have benefited from it, instead Zack added more scenes and made the film feel a lot longer then it should had been. Yes it does explains a few things but at least take out the stuff that does nothing but drags the film. Ben Affleck shines as the new batman, gal gadot does great as wonderwoman, Henry Cavill's superman is depressing, would like to see him snap out it and cut the bs. DC Still has a chance to get it together and hopefully they learn from this.

Suits blowing up into nonexistence? Posted by: from: on Awsome movie. I'm a Marvel fan and I enjoyed this movie more than all Thor movies and Ironman 3. I really like the fact that Batman didn't blow all his suits up into pretty fireworks like Ironman 3. Like how does heavey steel transmutate into fireworks? Yeah, I'm loving this movie for its realism and grit. I just wish they dove more into how how Batman or the Flash is causing Batman to have those knightmares containing Darksied's emblem?
