Inovates BF yet same Problems Persist Posted by: from: on It's Battlefield! With Cops! I really enjoyed this game, for about 10-15 minutes at a time. Same BF gameplay we all know and love with some nice new additions to keep things fresh. I really enjoyed the new HotWire mode that is essentially the classic BF Conquest except now the flags are cars that must be driven around the map at high speeds in order drive down your enemy's tickets. However, much like every FrostBite based Battlefield game before it, it's not without it's share of hang ups. The most egregious to me of which is the rubber-banding. It has dogged every recent BF game and this is no exception. Every 5-10 minutes I found myself running in place for a moment only to be warped back to a previous location. We're what? 3 or 4 BF games now that have had this issue? I don't think it's ever going to truly be fixed at this point. Who knows, maybe if they actually do fix the rubber-banding some day then I'll go back and change this review score because I really did enjoy my time with the game when it worked properly. They succeeded in doing some new things with a franchise that was starting to feel stagnant and I commend them for it but not without dragging along some classic Battlefield network issues.

Played the Alpha Posted by: from: Long Beach CA on For the record there is another beta coming out on Feb. 3rd 2015 until Feb 8th on PS4 and all platforms. The alpha was really nice. The guns and graphics were really nice. The objectives were great and fun to play moreover with co-ops. this is a must have game for March on all platforms.

Battlefield hardline ps4 Posted by: from: san diego, ca on Battlefield hardline is a very good game. It may star slow with less action, but lots of action occurs as the game progresses. This is a new genre from the typical battlefield where you are a soldier back in the old days; this is cop and robber type. Overall, highly recommended for lovers who like cop and robber type game.

Good idea poorly executed Posted by: from: on I was excited at the prospect of any shooter that lets you play as a cop. Sadly, this veneer wears off soon and before you know it you're punching alligators in the face and fighting dudes in tanks.

Good Graphic, Repetitive Gameplay Posted by: from: San Francisco on I only played the campaign mode and completed the 10 episodes around 10 hours. The script is ok but not attractive. Using Last of Us as 10, this would be a 4. The game encourages you to catch the bad guys, not kill them. This is the reason for my 10 hours play. However, this bad guy catching thing became repetitive after several episodes. At the last episode, I simply skipped the three sites and went directly to kill the big bad guy to end this game. No wonder the game price is dropping so fast. I encountered one issue at the near end of 8th episode which required me to restart it. Besides that, it's smooth. If Batthelfield doesn't improve in the next one, it will become a falling star.

Excellent update to a franchise Posted by: from: on I think most of us who partake in the FPS experience spend a majority of their time on the multiplayer side of the game. Hardline has offered up not just a solid single player experience but they gave it a format that I'm sure 99% of the people who play it are gonna love. Each "episode" plays just like episode that you're binging off of Netflix. If you stop mid-mission you'll get a "Next time on Hardline..." And a preview of the next few cutscenes show you out. Same thing for coming back to the get a recap of what just happened in the show. Its a small thing but I took it for it what it was...a small little shot in the arm to freshen up a series.

Battlefield with Cops and Robbers Posted by: from: on With the plague of problems in Battlefield 4 resolved, the Frostbite 3 engine is prepared to rock and roll with cops and robbers. While not graphically impressive, Hardline does provide quite a bit of multiplayer enjoyment. Fans of the Battlefield series will enjoy the staple Conquest and TDM modes. There are some unique cops and robber modes to fit the motif. However, Visceral invented one of the funnest multiplayer modes to grace us this far. Hotwire is essentially Conquest mode with players/squads controlling sets of different vehicles on the maps. The longer you control the vehicles (5 of them), the more points you score. The more vehicles you have, the faster the opposing team loses their tickets. The result is some crazy vehicle battles with squads in cars going head to head with guns and rockets and charges. This mode presents some interesting scenarios and can be a down right blast to play. While the Frostbite engine isn't the prettiest, this game does offer some fun multiplayer experiences.
