Power Beats not what they used to be
Posted by: loveapple from: on
I am an avid ultramarathoner. I have always used the power beats head phones that connected to an iPod or other source. So I decided to go with the new wireless bluetooth version. They are not built as well as the original headphones were. After only couple months of running the volume and music selection button no longer works. Also I feel that the ear pieces are cheaply made and do not conform as well to your ears as the older models. AND perhaps this is why no warranty (best buy) is allowed on this product?? The good, battery life is about 6 hours, does connect well with blue tooth devices, sound quality is...good. Overall not worth the money, if you are serious athlete (except those that get things for free) I would not buy these again.

Sound quality is horrible!
Posted by: Meca from: on
As a jogger I was pretty excited about the wireless version. Well that excitement turned to disappointment within 2 minutes of jogging. The sounds quality was horrible. I had the volume on max and my music was slightly audible over passing traffic. I had the plugin beats headphones prior and on half volume I could tone out everything. Also, the music frequently broke in and out. My iPod was less that 2 feet from the headphones.........unacceptable. 2 stars for nice color options and easy setup.

Not sweat- and water-resistant!

Keep this in mind, I went though 3 brand new set (gave them a try)
I go to the gym a lot and do hours of intense cardio, and yes im soaked in sweat when I'm done with my workout. After the 2nd or 3rd workout the headphones stopped working. 1st one after i worked out, i turned it off and the next day it will not turn back on nor charge. 2nd pair during my workout it turned off and when tried to charge/turn on it blinks red 14x's before it turns itself off. 3rd pair during my workout the music cut off and all i got was white noise until i turned it off, it did not turn back on and when i try to charge it it says red for hours.
Not happy at all with the product, BEATS wants to send them my damaged one, they give me a repair number for it and then send me my same ones back. I just wanted a fresh new pair.
Im so happy I purchased insurance on these.
I will be going back to Bestbuy again but this time to going with a different bluetooth brand overall.
Would not recommend if you sweat a lot.

If only it lasted...

I bought these earbuds in February because I wanted the freedom to workout without having to worry about cords hanging from my ear. These were the best earbuds that I've ever owned, hands down. The sound is like no other earbud that I've tried and good music is a must-have to keep me motivated to complete my workout. All was working fine for the first 3 months. The first problem I encountered was the volume down button stopped working in the middle of my workout. I went online looking for a solution and was able to reset it. Next, my music started breaking up while running and my volume up bottom stopped working. I was willing to overlook that because I liked these earbuds that much. However, yesterday I guess the powerbeats finally died. I could not get them to come on. I've charged them, I've tried all the button pressing combinations that I've read online and nothing works. It's only been 7 months and I expected for these to at least last 1 year given the cost. Needless to say, they are going back and I don't think I'm going to waste my money on purchasing another pair.

Not worth the money, trust me

Horrible product! where do i even start?! First and foremost, bad connection, the product started disconnecting when the phone was on the ground and i stood up to stretch. Secondly, the bass... there's no bass. Sound quality is not worth how much you pay for it. Lastly, it's only been 29 days and I'ved used it 5 times... 5 TIMES and now it doesn't connect via bluetooth, so I have to send it for repair. By the way, this is my first review for any kind of product...Its so bad i felt compelled to write this review.

stopped working and charging after 2 weeks
Posted by: radaitor from: on
terrible product. I own lots of apple stuff (lots) but this is the worst thing they've ever made. It stopped working 2 weeks after i purchased it, won't charge, wont turn on. Nothing has fixed the problem. I know many others with this same issue.

Flawed! Audio, video out of sync!
Posted by: gOLdEngOd from: on
The $200 powerbeats2 are well built, good sounding earphones that feel great when put on...extremely light and comfortable. Unfortunately, as the title suggests, there is a 2 second lag in audio while watching a video. I tried these with an iPhone 6 and iPad air, both updated to iOS 8.1.1. I also tried 2 other brands, one costing half the price, that did NOT exhibit any lag whatsoever. Of course a 2 second lag while listening to music is not a big deal but is extremely annoying when trying to watch a movie or a YouTube video.
In response to my email, beats customer service says they are looking into the lag issue but do not have any specifics if or when a fix will be available. What a shame! I was so excited to finally get my hands on this product, but now I'm just as disappointed! Returned!

3rd pair in 7 months!
Posted by: Bobby3 from: on
First pair was bought at Christmas time (2015) and they lasted 5 months before buttons stopped working (no volume control or ability to pause/skip songs). Then those were sent in via Geek Squad to Apple and i bought a 2nd pair. The 1st set was returned (broken) and thankfully a Best Buy mgr exchanged the broken pair for the 3rd pair and i returned the 2nd pair. The new set lasted two months. Buttons stopped working again and housing actually broke off. Returned to Apple again but in the meantime I'll be searching for a new product to use. Never buy powerbeats again.
