Great once you find driver. BELKIN SUPPORT AWFUL! Posted by: from: Bothell, WA on The 3 port USB 3.0 ports (super-speed) worked right out if the box. I would give this 5 stars except it's almost impossible to find the driver to make the Ethernet work and the customer service was HORRENDOUS (talking to you, Belkin!). Had to find the driver from the original micro-controller website via my own research (Belkin never called me back and it was very polite). More details: The USB Ethernet requires drivers for any OS except Win 8.1 (or so they claim). Driver did not come in box but points you to website. Unfortunately, the driver is unavailable on the site. After hunting for 30 minutes, I spoke with a Belkin CS Agent who - after putting me on hold for another 30 minutes - said their elite department would be in touch within 24 hours. NEVER HEARD FROM BELKIN! After doing my own internet research, I found the micro-controller site of the chip they use.... I downloaded the driver for Mac OSX and voila! Works perfect now! (no thanks to Belkin) For those of you interested, here's the site to find drivers for this device: http://www.asix.com.tw Look for USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet on the left and follow the links to the driver page. They have drivers for every OS imaginable!

Good inexpensive accessory for tablets and 2-in-1s Posted by: from: on I use this product when I am traveling with my Surface Pro 3, and it has served me well. I have never had a problem with the functionality and it is able to allow me access to multiple drives/devices at once.  The only disadvantage that I have noticed is that the adapter's attached USB cord used to connect to a computer/tablet is very short.  When connected to my Surface Pro's one-and-only USB port, the adapter just hangs down.  This can be a bit of and issue, especially when multiple devises are connected, which not only looks a little sloppy, but also adds tension to the computer's USB port.  Adding a USB connector extension cable is an option, but that means carrying even another wire around in my already busy work bag. Bottom-line: Good solution when traveling, but not ideal for daily home use  - I would recommend docking station for a more long term connection when at home.

For tablet users Posted by: from: on As a Microsoft surface user, I was looking for a good alternative to the one offered by Microsoft. With similar price of MS ethernet adapter, this one has additional 3 usb3.0 ports.

Compact, Sleek and Works how it should! Posted by: from: on There's not really much to say because the Belkin - 3-Port USB 3.0 Hub works as it should. My father and I are currently sharing it so our wireless keyboard/mouse and our ethernet cable are always plugged in and all we have to do is unplug the adapter from one computer and plug it into the other. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and it's perfect!

Works as designed Posted by: from: on Works fine. USB ports all work fine, the ethernet works fine. No need for drivers on Windows 10.

Great HUB Posted by: from: on One of the main reasons for purchasing this item was to expand the USB port capabilities of my new Surface Book. Having a hub that not only offered USB 3.0 was important to me, but add on Gigabit Ethernet capabilities have you have the makings of a great product.

Works great with my Surface 3 Posted by: from: on I got this about 6 months ago for my Surface 3 I've had no issues yet , but I would have wanted it to be a little longer wire that plugs into the USB port but over all great product

A Necessity, But A Nice One Posted by: from: Kansas City, MO on I had to buy an adapter for a new laptop without wired networking. I did some research on the options and bounced around with a few options. There are some cheaper options and there are some smaller options, but this one won me over for a couple of reasons. My laptop only has 3 USB ports so using 1 for Ethernet left me with only 2 which isn't really adequate anymore. This is an Ethernet adapter with additional ports so I can solve two problems at once. The ports on the module are USB3 so I'm not sacrificing speed by expanding my USB ports. I've had no problems with Ethernet connectivity or with any of the USB devices I've plugged in. It's a simple product (no external power requirements is a plus too) that does what it's supposed to do.
