Q: will this adapter work on my old desktop from the 2nd floor to my basement
A: I have a 3 year old desk top. My router is upstairs and I use this downstairs and the connection is excellent.

A: Works great. I installed it and it shows excellent connection at all times. Page loads and downloads are super fast. Cant even tell its wireless.

Q: do i have to be near my router in order for the adapter to have connection?
A: Theoretically, you should have "up to" 300 feet of range. However, depending on how many walls, what they're made of, and other interference to the signals, you will have shorter range. However, if you can't pick up a signal from 25 feet, there's a serious problem.
Q: Is Belkin Router 802.11g Compatible & Why no CD Rom Install Disc Included
A: The basic difference between 802.11n and 802.11g is transfer speed, so yes if your router is 802.11g your new 802.11n USB adapter will connect but only at the 802.11g speed. Alot of apps now can be automatically installed by Windows when the device is connected.

A: I highly doubt it would work unless your Samsung TV supports USB WiFi functionality on its firmware.
