Q: Can you converse with someone with the device via smartphone?
A: Yes you can. The HD Cam has a mic for you to hear ambient noises and it also has a speaker on the back for anyone next to Camera to hear your voice. Works very well actually
Q: Why does it continue to go off line?
A: If your wifi connection isn't strong, it will lose signal but it usually comes back fairly quickly.
Q: does it work thru a window, to see outside at night?
A: It will with the night vision off and if the area is brightly lit
Q: Can you record to PC hard drive through browser ?
A: No, ZorkDude. The recording has to be done using the NetCam app installed on any handheld device.

A: Wherever you can download the camera application, so I'm going to say yes

Q: Can this be transferred to different locations?
A: Upon the installation process, you will need to create a NetCam account using a valid email address. That will be the same recipient for the motion detection email alert. You will need to reset the Netcam if you want to use another email log-in.
