Q: Most of the 800 series have multiple reviews that site a foul odor or smell. That is only mentioned in passing in one review that I read for this model. Is there a fundamental difference that eliminates the foul odor problem in this model?

A: When you first open the dishwasher after delivery, there is a stale odor from the water still in the product after final testing. We just put some white vinegar in it and ran a cycle before doing any dishes and haven't noticed any odor since. With that said, it appears that all new energy efficient units retain some water in the pump at the end of each cycle and they all recommend cleaning the dishwasher every 3 months or so.

Q: is it true the top control panel color is different with the front body color for this model dishwasher ?

A: Yes the color is slightly different. Top control panel appears to be plastic.

Q: Where is this unit made?

A: Made in the US from US and imported parts

Q: Does the microwave & dishwasher come with a child lock function?

A: We have the dishwasher without a manual, I looked at all of the controls and could not find a child lock function. This is our 4th dishwasher in 40 years, never had one with a child lock and no need for one. My children and grandchildren never made it a necessity. This washer is the quietest, cleanest washing one we have owned!

Q: Is this model available with a panel kit?

A: Hi there! Thank you for your question. This model is not available with a panel kit.
