The Cobra CXR725 two way radio has great features in a very compact size. It has a maximum range of 27 miles in ideal conditions and 22 GMRS/FRS channels and 142 privacy codes. The CXR725 has some great features including VOX hands free operation, VibrAlert® silent paging, backlit display, scan feature, selectable roger beep, 10 call tones, and a key lock.
The CXR725 has a very small frame, making it very easy to carry in your pocket. It will also take up very little room in a backpack or in an emergency kit. It comes standard with rechargeable high capacity lithium ion batteries. The CXR725 is one of the few GMRS radios with a Li-ion battery. This gives them a longer talk time than radios that use NiMH batteries so there is less recharging.
