Tale of caution

The cooler itself looks awesome, is easy to set up, and performs great under normal circumstances I'd give this four stars. Now to explain why I didn't..
After a few weeks of being in service, one of the hoses on the CPU end decided to pop out.. spraying the internals of my computer. I often leave my system on for extended periods as I run gaming servers for my son and his friends. I came home to find the system on, hose popped out, and a weird maple syrup smell in the room.
I contacted Corsair and am waiting for a reply to see what the next recommended action is. I don't have a second cooler to see if my board/CPU is still functional. I'm not touching anything until Corsair fills me in on their procedures. My hope is Corsair handles this properly. Their product failed and potentially may have damaged my two week old I7-6700K CPU and possibly other expensive components.
My key questions: What is in the coolant water and how/can it be properly cleaned from a system in this situation? Does Corsair cover the entire system in the even of failure, or do they just replace the failed cooler and expect the customer to foot the bill for any damage caused by failure of their device?
I suspect I may just be having a run of bad luck. Most users don't have this issue I suspect. Whether I'd consider this a decent product or whether I'd recommend it to a friend is going to entirely be determined by Corsair customer service. I hear they treat their customers well, so I am optimistic.

Good performance for the cost.

Great liquid cooler. Saw stable ~38 degree Celsius tempatures for an OC'd cpu @ a modest 4Ghz on full load. Cool little on-board monitoring set up within the pump itself. Plugs directly into a USB header on the mobo. You'll have to download it from coolermaster's site however.
Pros: price (picked it up in store for less than newegg would charge even with a coupon)
Performance is great
Excellent software that monitors everything.
LED can change into any color. Any. You go through the color wheel and choose or turn it off completely.
Thermal paste is preapplied.
Good set up for a plug in and done system.
Good set of 120mm fans.
Cons: Very stiff hoses. Bending takes some force.
Doesn't come with the software driver cd. You have to manually search the software.
Plastic hose fasteners. The connection from hose to radiator seems like a weaker grade plastic. (It has held up so far but it is a concern)
Radiator finish mars easily.

Great for CPU Cooling

I love this cooler. The reason why 4 stars.. The fans that come with it are horrible and loud. Be prepared to buy different fans.

Great Self Contained Cooler

I had used the old H100i on my i7 2600k and it did an admirable job, I recently upgraded to an i7 4790k and the older version was only keeping it around 40 celcius while overclocked to 4.6 non turbo boost. I saw this and decided to give it a shot and i'm getting temps in the high 20s and low 30s at idle now. I am much happier with the performance of the new cooler. Definitely a worth while upgrade over an air cooler for your PC.

My first ever liquid cooler
Posted by: RonH from: on
I have always been skeptical about water cooling and decided to get this cooler for my new build which uses an i7 4790K CPU. Setup and installation was a lot easier than I expected and it makes my layout look very clean.
It very silent and it keeps my CPU around 28 degrees Celsius.
I did come across some issues with it- the pipes are very thick and hard to position in the small case I was using- Corsair Carbide Air 240. I ended up positioning the thing in a way that made the logo upside down on my motherboard- if it was the other way the curved pipes would stick out not allowing me to close my case window. This does not bother me as much since my case window faces up.
The link software was also questionable since it would not change my LED light at first. I had to re-download a newer version from their site and the lighting works fine now.
Overall this is a solid cooler.

I put this on my gaming rig. I had a pretty good Zalman air cooler on it and the temps ran around 140f while gaming, now with this cooler, it stays right around 100f. I was surprised that it dropped the temp 40 degrees.

Keeps computer cool for a medium-high tech build.

I use a 4.0 ghz devil's canyon intel processor. It keeps it at 34 degrees Fahrenheit idle and 45-50 under load. If you use a high end processor like mine, you may want to invest in a better cooler. However, this one is quite serviceable for any medium-high end build.
