A: No it does not
Q: what is the life span of this coffee maker.
A: It has a life span of 2 years, after that it dies still looking brand new

Q: How long is the auto shut off?
A: You can set it to turn off anywhere from 1-3 hours. It has a programmable switch to set the time.
A: Mine does not leak water. I had another one years ago for many years and it did not leak any water.
A: The hot water feature is separate from the coffee brewing feature. It holds more than one serving. It does need to reheat in between, but doesn't take very long.
Q: Where can I get replacement charcoal filters for the water and coffee water side?
A: You will find an order form in your operations manual/warrenty package...also shows a part number that you can Google for local sellers.
Q: How does the clean system work?
A: I always filled the tank with 1/2 distilled vinegar and 1/2 water, press the "clean" button and press the "on/off" button. It takes a while. It'll brew a little bit, then sit, then brew a little more, etc.... I also would run two brew cycles of plain water through afterwards just to get rid of any left over vinegar.
