Cuisinart DCC-1100BK Coffee Maker: This sleek, 12-cup coffee maker serves up the perfect amount of coffee, all the while looking as fantastic as the coffee it brews.
Q: What kind of filter does it take cone or round?
A: it uses number 4 cone filter. a few come with a new unit.
Q: How do you activate making coffee without using the programmable feature?
A: The on/off button has a dial around it that can switch to and from different settings. "Auto-on" is the programable one and "brew" will start right away when turned on. Rotate the dial until the black tick mark lines up with "brew." Then press the on/off button. A red light should illuminate on the button and coffee will brew.
A: Yes!!! That was an issue with my last coffee maker. I love this coffee pot. It pours so nicely!!! No drips or over splash!!
Q: Does the top of the pot have ample room to pour the water into the reservoir
A: It's not so much a problem of sufficient space to pour water in the well, as a problem with the lip of the pot not allowing easy pouring. Water tends to stay in the pot even when you turn the pot upside down. In their attempt to get the pot to never drip when pouring coffee [and it doesn't], the top of the pot is a pain in other ways [emptying and cleaning].
Q: Can I buy a replacement glass coffee pot
A: Yes you can available at many sources on web.
Q: how do you stop the clean button from blinking
A: You have to run it through the clean cycle. I don't always clean it with vinegar . I will just use water, because the coffee maker goes by how many pots of coffee made. So if you turn your maker on(after it beeps off), to keep your coffee hot it counts it as a pot made. Sometimes I have my coffee pot on all day. (will make 2 pots) So I will clean my pot once a month with vinegar.
Q: how do you know when to clean the cuisinart 12-cup dcc-1100
