Great coffee maker
Posted by: newuser22 from: on
I think it looks great compared to the all white makers or clear carafes but i dont leave mine out when im not using it, but if i ever did it matches my stainless steel appliances great ... any way i have a plug near my sink so i just use my faucet to fill the coffee maker up with water and it works perfect for me ... after the coffee is made i just pour it slow into my mug and it does not leak, if you pour to fast or tilt it to far when it is filled with coffee, it does leak out the seam but most 4 cup carafes do that ... just pour slow ... it makes great coffee for me and then i just rinse out the carafe when im done and put it away ... the only issue is for ALL 4 cup makers is that they use 6 oz as 1 cup and most mugs are 12 oz or even larger so you need to understand you are gonna get 2 mug fulls of coffee

Darned good cup of coffee... very impressed!
Posted by: ciderguy from: SE US on
OK, so I purchased a do-it-all machine from Williams-Sonoma last year for about $350 - and discovered that all I really needed, at least 350 days of the year, was two perfect mugs of coffee per day. So I did my research and this little guy had pretty good ratings so I came to the Best Buy website and ordered it.
I've been using it four mornings in a row now and have to say that I am very impressed - the coffee is as good as that coming from my $350 machine and although I had become accustomed to the burr grinder built into the large machine, I still have three (two new in the box when there was a half-price sale on eBay) Cuisinart burr grinders, so it's as simple as grinding the beans, pouring in the water, putting a filter in and adding the ground beans and – poof! – great coffee in a few minutes.
I put my big old clunker in a bottom shelf now. I'm sure that I will drag it out a few times a year but for now, and for most of the year, this little beauty works beautifully.
The only caveat that I will make: while the gold "permanent filter" are certainly a bargain, they simply do not produce the best tasting coffee, particularly, it seems, with Cuisinart machines. Do yourself a favor and purchase the #2 Melitta cone filters – brown or bleached, it makes no difference. But they sure make a difference in taste!

Worst design possible!
Posted by: CustomerSanJose from: San Jose, Ca on
This is the worst design I could imagine. It's like the manufacturer must not have even tried it out before selling it!!! The carafe design is horrible. It is impossible to pour water or coffee without spilling it everywhere! The water seems to spill out between the rim of the carafe and the carafe. There's a mess to clean up after filling the resavoir and after pouring coffee. It is also hard to fill the resavoir because the lid doesn't open wide enough.
I would have returned this after the first use if I hadn't have thrown the box away without trying it. Big mistake!

Makes more like 1-1/2 cups instead of 4.
Posted by: tallone0215 from: Somersworth, NH on
Using a normal coffee cup only makes about 1.5 cups. Top of carafe is hard to get off. When pouring water into coffee maker, unless you hold the top down when pouring water leaks down the side of the carafe all over counter. Very disappointed. I got it as a gift so I didn't dish out any money for it which was good.

Neat and Compact

This coffeemaker is perfect for my tiny NYC-size kitchen. With limited counter space, this coffeemaker is perfect. I've had it about a month and it works perfectly.

I love the jar

I love coffee, and I'm always looking for a great coffee maker. This one is perfect because of the steel jar. It does not break when I wash it, and it last forever.

Great little coffeemaker
Posted by: RNG2015 from: on
It's simple to use, has an auto turn off which is very useful. The stainless carafe keeps the coffee nice and hot. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with a permanent filter so I had to purchase one separately.

Small but De-lish Coffee
Posted by: vixx from: on
I received the same coffeemaker as a gift more than 6 yrs ago and LOVE it! makes great-tasting coffee and just the right size for a single gal to get her mornings started. Easy to use & stays hot. Reasonably priced as well. Cuisiart makes excellent products.
