A: Our Cuisinart was leaking coffee back out the top of the pod and all over the counter. I checked the bottom puncture needle and it was completely clogged! Problem solved

Excellent all-in-one coffee maker
This coffee maker was exactly what I wanted. It brews perfect hot coffee from fresh ground beans in minutes. The machine is easy to use and clean.

Had the glass carafe version, then...
...we accidentally had it flood itself by setting the timer to brew... to a missing carafe. Oops. Our usual issue is the coffee getting cold rather quickly in the Nevada winter, so we went for this model with the stainless thermal carafe as our replacement. Sure, we had to trade 12 cup capacity for 10, but I do feel that trade-off was worth it long term. You can turn it on, take a quick shower, and it'll still be hot when you get back to it. And it's always nice to be able to grind your own beans, too. I use the grinder, the family doesn't like it (oh well, more for me!) Though I wish there was a way to prevent the water vapor from getting up into the grinding chamber, even when it's empty. The resulting condensation makes the grounds stick to the chamber, which takes just a little more effort to clean out before the next pot can be made. That's the only con I can think of for this item. Other than that, built sturdily, has a carbon filter insert in the reservoir to help cleanse the water that brews. Do recommend replacing that little filter at least every 3 months if you use it more than once a day, 7 days a week. (I believe you can order the filters on Best Buy; The physical stores MIGHT stock them too, but don't quote me on that.)

Next best thing to a Keurig
Cuisinart is a well-recognized and extremely dependable brand. Once I made the adjustment from the convenience of the K-Cup to brewing a pot of coffee, I am pleased with the product. The price was reasonable, too. I purchased the model with the coffee grinder on the recommendation of another customer who had one. However, I do not use it because it is extremely noisy -- sounds like a jet engine about to take off -- so I grind my own coffee again. I am looking forward to this product outlasting Keurig's (which lasts a couple of years at best and is twice as expensive).
