Q: Can this wifi camera work sitting on a window sill indoors viewing out to the driveway?
A: Yes. I have 3 of these cameras looking out from my window sills. The camera lens fits close to the window glass which reduces reflections greatly. The only drawback is that for night use the outside area to be viewed by the camera must be illuminated. If you use the built in camera leds for night use they will reflect off of the window and back into the camera, making the image unusable. My window sills are narrow, so I made a mounting plate for each of the cameras out of old cds and just hot glued the camera onto them. I then loosened the screws for the window lock, placed the cd between the lock and the window sill and tightened the screws to hold the mounting plate in place.
Q: Can this devise notify my smart phone if motion in a room is detected ?
A: Yes, it has motion detection and will alert you on your smart phone. You can have it record the motion too.
Q: I need know if this camera can recorded . thanks.
A: You need a micro SD card but yes you can record. You can also setup auto record for sound and movement.
Q: Does this camera require a network cable to view on your smartphone, i.e., totally wireless?
A: No it doesn't require a network cable, but it does have to be plugged into an electrical source.
Q: does it have to be plugged into power source at all times or does it hold a charge?
A: We thank you for the interest in the product. Keep in mind that it needs to be plugged into a power source to function. It does not run on batteries.
A: there's two small red lights on either side. one green light. you can always "tape" them up so they dont shine through.. HOWEVER I believe those red lights (which are barely visible) are for the camera to see in the dark. the ONLY noise it does it when it switch from light to dark (happens very rare).. it just sounds like a quick "tap".. if the camera is hidden, you shouldnt be able to locate where the noise came from.
A: Yes. You can name each camera individually and they will be listed in the App on your phone. I'm not sure if it will have separate folders for each camera and it's recorded data. I suggest getting an inexpensive router just for the camera system and hard wire it to your normal router or modem so they won't draw so much on your bandwidth.
Q: DOES THIS HAVE NIGHTVISION?
A: Yes it does have night vision. And it works well!
