Q: Does the extender have to remain in than same room as the router after set up
A: No it doesn't. once the extender is set up to your home network, it can be moved to another room to provide better WiFi coverage in the area.
Q: I have the Amazon Echo and the Amazon Tap. Would this device extend the range of use for the Tap?
A: It extends anything that transmitts wifi. So why not.
A: This model does not have dual band technology.
Q: Can six smart phones be used at once?
A: Yes but there is a limit to bandwidth so the responses will get slower just like any wireless router would.
A: My answer is no, you need to be able to connect the router to the extender by pressing the wps button on both ends. I tried it at work which the exterder just turnd on red and wont change, i didnt have access to the router. I thought this was just a repeater i am still searching.
