Q: Can I get a hybrid drive instead of a SATA 5400 drive?
A: Hello, Thank you for your interest in the Inspiron 15 (Series 7000) laptop! As it turns out, this system is not offered with hybrid hard drives from Dell. Also, systems sold here are already pre-configured and built and cannot be modified before shipment. If you are looking for speed boosts, you can always install your own 2.5" SSD in the laptop, replacing the existing hard drive. There are Service Manuals available from Dell's Support website. A: No, the battery is not removable on this laptop.
Q: backlit of the keyboard doesn't work
A: That's most likely a software issue. I had the same issues with my unit (all the function keys were not working) but the following steps fixed that. 1. Go to Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services 2. Find Human Interface Device Access service and check to see if it is running. If not, set the Startup Type to Automatic and restart your system. A: All i7 models come with FullHD screens. The only 1366px screen is on i5 model.

A: Your battery is covered under the manufacture's warranty. As long as its under a year, contact the manufacturer, provide them with proof of purchase and they'll be able to take care of it for you. Sometimes they'll have you buy an aftermarket one and then reimburse you for what you paid.
