Q: For music performance, how do I set up the receiver to produce the 185 watts per channel. I have this model and it's not driving my Bose 901s to my satisfaction. Please advise.

A: The Bose 901 Series VI speakers are 8 ohm speakers. As per specifications for this unit, it will drive 8 ohm speakers at 90W per channel (8 ohm, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 0.08% 2ch Drive). If you want 185 watts per channel you must go buy 6 ohm speakers and then for a 1kHZ frequency it will drive 1 channel at 185 W. However, you'll likely destroy your speaker with 185W. I don't think the 901's are built to take that much power. This receiver output information is all in the specifications. Power Output (8 ohm, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 0.08% 2ch Drive) 90W Power Output (6 ohm, 1 kHz, 0.7% 2ch Drive) 125W Power Output (6 ohm, 1 kHz, 10% 1ch Drive) 185W

Q: Is there any noticeable difference between this model ( Denon S950W) and the Denon X2300W?

A: In addition to the 1 yr longer warranty, the X2300W has Audyssey MultEQ XT to setup your sound environment. The S950W has Audyssey MultEQ. The Audyssey MultEQ XT is considered better. The X2300W also has 2 HDMI outs. I believe the S950W only has 1 HDMI out.

Q: Can you set up Bluetooth speakers to the receiver?

A: No. You can send music to the S920 via bluetooth. The S920 cannot send music to a bluetooth speaker.

Q: Will this remote signal pass through a closed cabinet? If not, what do you recommend?

A: No the remote is ir not rf. For a closed cabinet you will need an rf remote...something like the Logitech harmony elite.
