Q: Can I stream music being played by an Echo through this unit? Hopefully without a 3.5mm line?

So Best Buy lists the unit by wattage which is why the Best Buy listing shows as the AVR750W. However, the true model name for the unit is AVR-S640H. They are one and the same just labeled differently by the dealer. I hope this helps clarify any misunderstanding.
Q: Can the front USB port support thumb drive music in MP3 and FLAC formats?

Yes. The AVR-S640H is capable of playing MP3 and FLAC files on the front USB.
A: Hi. This AVR (AVRS640H) is capable of single zone only, which means it will not play in an interior room and also on the patio simultaneously. However the Denon 7.1 models like AVRS740 or AVRX1500H do that capability.
Q: Can I turn off the dolby (home theater ) when listening to records?
A: Yes. It should select the output mode automatically based on the input source. If not, select "music" input and adjust the output yourself.
