Q: What is the difference between this product and the gimbal stabilizer? I'm new to this gimbal stuff.
A: Jaz. The Osmo is a 3 axis stabilized 4K 12MP camera. It uses a mechanical gimbal to accomplish the stabilization. The gimbal stabilizer is what makes it so much more powerful than a normal camcorder.
A: It depends on the case. Since the Note 8 is a very large phone and Otterbox cases are usually quite rugged, it is unlikely it will work with your case on.

A: the lens should have zoom in and out .. you can use it for almost anything..I would say .. yes feel you can use it for real estate..
