Previously thought lost, tapes for these episodes were found in 2013 in Nigeria. Now, those of us too young to have seen these episodes when they first aired can add to our collections with something that is a surprising part of history. The episodes themselves are, of course, typical of BBC television visual "quality" of the day (that is to say, not great) but, considering that the DVD is based on a remastering from decades-old, forgotten magnetic tapes, the picture quality is astounding. You'd never know that this was anything other than a standard copied-from-the-London-archives video. The acting and props are at about the standard you'd expect. The pleasure in this particular DVD is that you're viewing something that all had thought lost since at least the 1970's.

I can honestly say that Patrick Troughton is a very good actor. After watching this episode in serial format I wanted him to return to the Doctor. I love to visit past Doctor Who 's and to see Jaime and his friend from the Scottish Highlands. Excellent story that has a twist to our current year of December 31. 2018.
