A: The $349 is a direct drive motor, the $299 is the older type, it is motorized but not Direct driven. The latter means a more efficient use of battery and more importantly, means (75% according to Dyson™) stronger brushing equaling superior cleaning.

A: On regular mode it will last 20 minutes. On the powerful mode you will only get around 12 minutes.

A: I too wanted to buy the hardwood floor attachment, but I have not yet found a store or site that sells them.
