Friendly Perscussion
Its an old throw back movie but its really good.Funny in parts sad in others but entertaining all the way through!
Set during the American Civil War, the story follows a Quaker family's morals conflicts with both innate human nature and the external culture. Rather than getting all preachy, this is handled with really charming comedy, until the war comes home. I cannot watch this without getting a lump in my throat seeing these wholesome, peaceful people brought so near disaster. The tapestry of characters and vignettes is more than ably handled. I'd need twenty paragraphs to describe it all. A movie so rich, it can be watched many times.

Good condition/service
Light-hearted, family-friendly film. Touches on civil war and how it effected the peace loving Quakers if that era. Shows a side of these anti-violent christians not typical of them and makes them and their strong faith more believable.
