Cool off during those sweltering summer heat waves with this Frigidaire window-mounted air conditioner. This room air conditioning unit measures just under 19 inches high by 26.5 inches wide and fits windows between 31 and 42 inches wide. This Frigidaire window-mounted air conditioner provides low noise levels and uses three different directional fan speeds.
Looks like there aren't enough negative mentions yet.
Great Air Conditioner - 25,000 in wall AC
Posted by: RWalkie from: USA on
This will be the second one I bought in the past few months. I own a two family house. The thing to know about this AC is that you can window mount it. I in-wall mounted mine. You will need to pull out the ac tray from the cabinet in order to untie the components that are secured within its enclosure. This is common with these larger size units. Do not remove or damage the front Styrofoam as that is part of the venting. Do not make the mistake of thinking that it is part of the packaging. Wiring will require a double pole breaker. I used 10-2 wire. I suggest calling a certified electrician as you cannot just plug this into any old socket, and in fact requires the appropriate plug and wiring. You are given less than adequate brackets to mount the unit and I instead bought the largest super heavy duty white 1/8 inch steel large utility brackets from either of the big outlet stores...they both sell the same white bracket. As far as the quality, its like anything else. The steel is way thinner that on older AC units and bends easily. It appears that is something you just live with anymore. When you turn this unit on it will not immediately start to blow cold air but will slowly ramp up the speed as not to blow your breaker. This is a great feature since initial draw is always substantial before leveling out. This is a great feature. The units function is a pleasant surprise in that within a few moments it will blow and keep blowing the same degree of extreme cold air without backing down. If set to 60 degrees it will do everything in its power to get it there. The fan is amazing and easily blows air into other rooms. You should realize with this degree of performance comes some noise. You can Install further away or run at a slower speed to minimize noise. Hope this helps.

Good thus far

The product is preforming very well thus far. Only installed on 5/13/16. The mix up in the receiving it on time was the problem.

This 25,000 BTU air conditioner keeps our 950 sq.ft. room cool and comfortable. With advance settings, we only need to turn the unit on and off.

Exceeded my expectations. Cools three rooms better than my central unit ever did. Easy to install after 220 volt outlet was placed.

Make sure your electric service can handle such a big air conditioner. This one has a unique plug and a high voltage use. Haven't been able to use yet. Also Best Buy service SUCKS when it comes to customers!!!!!!!!!
