Q: Does dehumidifier shut off automatically once humidity level is reached?
A: Ours shuts off automatically.
A: After removing the bucket from the dehumidifier, do the following: - Move the handle to the up position to align the notches with the holes in the plastic - push the handle to one side and push the handle notches through the plastic holder on the other side. You will need to push the holder carefully not to break it. Once through, you can remove the other side of the handle. - In the back of the bucket, there are two tabs to lift up. Once you've done that, the top will come off easily.
Q: What does it mean that "installation" is required for this product?
A: The only thing I can see regarding extra installation would be connecting the optional drain hose connection and running a line to a floor drain. That accessory is included but is completely optional as you can use the internal reservoir and empty it manually once it is full.
A: Hello Linz! A 30 pint dehumidifier will help remove moisture out of a 400 square foot basement. However, the smaller the dehumidifier the more often you may need to drain the bucket. We hope this information is helpful to you. –Thanks!-
A: The "pint" size is actually the rate at which water is removed not the capacity. If you have a really damp place, you want a higher "pint" size.
Q: What is the square footage coverage
A: My basement is about 1100 sft. Humidity level is kept at 50% and it works great!
Q: Will this work at cool basement temps with out freeze up
A: yes it has a defrost mode
