Not very good
Posted by: Honesty from: on
This unit is beautiful on the eyes (which is why i gave it 1 star) but it did not meet any of my expectations. It's so freaking loud that I'm not even able to hear the television right in front of my face. The unit pools up water and you can hear a splashing sound inside the unit. The unit does not cool fast or evenly and you are unable to adjust the direction of the airflow.
This is a 2016 model 8000btu AC and yet the other AC's i have in the apartment which are 6000btu and over 10 years old cools faster, make less noise and does not have water pooling inside the unit.

Nice and Quiet
Posted by: larryny from: on
It's only May so it's hard to tell how good it will be throughout the summer but so far it's very good. It's very well built and looks quite nice. The filter tray seems to be held magnetically and it's easy to take it out and clean it and for it to snap back in. I've always hated acs with difficult to close filters since i'm afraid of pushing too hard and having the ac fall out of my 5th story apartment.
The ac is very quiet especially on low mode. I have it right in front of my desk and it doesn't bother me at all. Also, since the fans are pointed straight up, it's perfectly fine to have it in front of you while you work. The ac doesn't blow in my face and it doesn't bother me at all.
Finally, the wifi feature is pretty cool but I can't really see myself using it. The included remote is better than the app for controlling the ac. Maybe on a really hot summer day, you can turn it on before you go home but outside of that it's more of a luxury than what i really need.
I recommend it since it's quiet, efficient, and it blows upwards which is a major plus if you plan on sitting anywhere near it.

A real advancement in AC!
Posted by: Shaunh20 from: on
I got this after doing a search on air conditioners that I could control via an app. There weren't many to choose from so thankfully this one turned out to be a great purchase. While a bit more expensive than a typical, small room AC I think its well worth it for two reasons: the aesthetics of how the AC looks (this one looks like it was designed by Apple I think) and how well it would function with the app.
Despite some problems setting it up to connect to my wi-fi, an issue I think was specific to my router (as this AC hooked up fast and easy to my phones tethered internet on the first try) this ended up being a great purchase. It really cools my small room extremely well and I love the fact that you can schedule it via the app to turn on and off when you need it (or turn on remotely so when you arrive its nice and cool).
I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a bit more of an advanced AC!

average ac unit

unit is noisy and has limited air flow. the front of the unit looks fancy but air only comes out of a very narrow slot on the top. You almost need a fan on top to push the cool air around as the cold air goes straight up. not worth the extra money paid to have the bells and whistles. not sure why everyone is giving it a glowing review. additionally, the water pools on the outside of the unit, because the drain hole is higher than the base. Concerned about mold buildup there, almost looks like a few holes should be drilled so it can drain properly. save your money and buy something less expensive that vents from the front not the top.

A great advancement in AC..its a bit more expensive but worth it to me to be able to control and schedule everything the AC does from the app! I'd highly recommend it as well for its wonderful aesthetics.

Installed unit in window, down loaded app and set up per quick start up guide, but unit will not connect to my wifi. No problem I'll call the 1800 number on the sheet, called number and get a voicemail telling me call cannot be answered because all employees are in training to better assist me. So I call the 1800 number ON THE UNIT and the very friendly woman explained to me that she can't support this product and has no way to get ahold of anybody who can help me and my best bet is to return the product because they rushed this out to market to fast. Maybe in a year or so they will get it right but stay away from this one.

Excellent A/C Window Unit
Posted by: CarlosH from: on
Great WiFi Window A/C Unit - which is the reason I purchased. Unboxing was easy and attaching the parts to fit in window is straight forward. I did have to restart the unit when connecting to WiFi because it timed out - so it took 2x times before it synched up. I have a 1,650SF home and the unit is located in my living room. I would say this cools most of my first floor of the house. I am looking forward to purchasing a second unit for the 2nd floor of the house. I really like the energy conservation and being able to turn on/ off when away from home. The front grill is magnetic to access the filter for maintenance/ cleanings is very nice. Very happy with this AC Unit and would recommend to friends/ family.

Decided to buy a new air conditioner a couple of weeks back. I was going to transfer the one from my room to my daughters room. since she is only here on ever other weekend. It is an old Haier ac. It worked fine, I wanted to find a new one with wifi capabilities so my room would be nice and cold when I would go to bed. I did research online and decided on the Frigidaire Model. Im glad I did! It puts out cold air, cools my room down, and I think its quiet. Plus the WIFI really puts it over the top. I had some issues with the WIFI app but I think the kinks have worked themselves out. I would've gave it a 5 star.

With the SoCal weather that's burning and my bedroom in my apartment does not have an ac plus a cat that stays at home while I work, THIS IS A GIFT FROM HEAVEN! Love the fact that I can control it with my iphone and it's also an energystar product! 150% happy with this purchase!

This product is a little pricey than most 8000 BTU air conditioners but worth it.
Eco mode is amazing. It will turn itself on and off to regulate the temperature to whatever you set it at. Much better than other units that continuously run and will cycle in hot air if it gets too cold rather than just turn off.
2 I was concerned due to the vent pointing up it would not circulate air very well but it does circulate very well!
3. The app is convenient for remote control.....
4 sleek design
1. when you turn it on it will ALWAYS turn on to Eco mode and ALWAYS at 72 degrees. Regardless of prior settings. It's factory set this way wth no possibility of changing.
2. The companion app to remotely control (turn on off schedule or Change temp) is awesome..... That is when it works. It's availability is very spotty. Even if I'm at home on the same wifi.
