Q: how many gallons of water does the machine use when full
A: Hello - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. We do not have the number of gallons of watr when full, but to obtain the average water usage of our washers, we can look at the water factor (WF or iWF). The iWF is a calculation defined by the Department of Energy (DOE) and all manufacturers are required to publish this information. For Average Water Usage, calculate: Water Factor x Capacity = Average Water Usage. In this case the iWF is 4.1, so 4.1 x 2.2 Capacity = 9.02 Average Water Usage. I hope this helps! Q: I have heard that is model is actually made by Samsung, not GE. Is this true?
A: This washer is made by GE.
Q: One Item
A: I would definitely *not* try to wash a comforter in this thing, but what's the worst thing that could happen? You'd have to drag it out, wet, wring it out and then take it to a commercial laundry to get finished. The drum is way too small. I wash my king set of linens all at once, and it's fine, but I don't think a comforter would be such a great idea.
