Q: WILL THIS WORK WITH WITH PROPANE OR DO I NEED TO BUY SOMETNG extra
A: Hello! This is Lida with GE Appliances. Gas dryers do not come equipped for LP gas; however, you can purchase the LP gas conversion kit for this dryer to use with with propane. We recommend a professional gas technician or installer to complete the conversion. The LP kit is GE Appliance part number WE03X23918. We're glad you checked!
A: Yes, they hook it up, and yes, they'll take the old ones away for (as I recall) a $15 fee. They were very helpful!
A: Yes it does, however like all dryers the exhaust, once hooked up needs about 6 inches of clearance from the wall..
A: Yes. I didn't think it was, but when they were done, the installers told me they changed the swing on the door so it opened away from my washer.
Q: Where is the lint trap located on this dryer
A: The lint trap is in the front and center when you open the dryer door. In my opinion it would have been helpful to make the lint trap a little larger.
Q: does this dryer have a standard plug outet

A: Hi NotHappy- Cotton Regular cycle is the best option for towels/jeans or any items made of cotton/linen. We suggest to choose Cottons- More Dry setting. Large, heavy fabrics (towels/jeans) contain more moisture and take longer to dry. Separate large, heavy fabrics into smaller loads to speed drying time. Drying times will vary according to the type of heat used (Electric, Natural or LP gas), size of load, types of fabrics, wetness of clothes and condition of exhaust ducts. For the best drying performance, the dryer needs to be properly vented. Use only rigid metal 4” diameter ductwork inside the dryer cabinet. Use only rigid metal or UL listed flexible metal 4” diameter ductwork for exhausting to the outside. Do not use plastic. Use the shortest length possible. Make sure ducting is clean, free of kinks and unobstructed. Check to see if outside wall damper operates easily. Q: Looking for a dryer without auto dry. Is there a GE dryer without this feature?
A: Hi NinaBee- Our GE and Hotpoint dryer are all equipped with Auto Dry. This setting monitors air temperature to set the optimal drying time. This option is designed to help prevent clothes from over drying which may reduce the life of the fabric. It also features Timed Dry (up to 80 minutes) so you can choose how you want to dry your clothes. Matching Washers: GE® 4.2 DOE cu. ft. stainless steel capacity washer GTW460ASJWW and GE® ENERGY STAR® 4.4 DOE cu. ft. stainless steel capacity washer GTW490ACJWW. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
