A professional, ISF (Imaging Science Foundation)-certified Geek Squad Agent will use precision equipment to calibrate your TV, tweaking sharpness, black levels, white levels, brightness, color temperature and more to provide the best possible picture in your home.* The Agent will also create custom presets to complement different room ambiences. - Before we begin: When we arrive at your home, we'll discuss the scope of work to ensure that services purchased meet your needs and expectations. If they don't, we'll recommend solutions.
- Maximizing the picture quality of your TV: We'll perform a pre-calibration reading of your current settings, then calibrate your TV to ISF standards for the best picture quality your TV is capable of displaying.
- Matching picture quality to external devices: We'll create dedicated settings for up to 2 inputs to account for the nuances of external devices. A “Day Mode” and a “Night Mode” will also be created for day and night use.
- Documenting your settings: We'll take a second reading of your settings so we can provide an assessment of your TV's calibrated settings and precalibrated settings. This assessment will be e-mailed to you.

Q: Does this include calibrating new 4K HDR tvs to Rec 2100? Specifically LG OLED C7.
A: No they just did my LG OLED 3 weeks ago and they only calibrated the ISF Bright and ISF dark only, they did not Calibrate the HDR, HGL HDR or Dolby Vision. Wait till it goes on sale sometime at 50% less than the $249 price than it is worth it. However, just know they do not calibrate for HDR, HGL HDR or Dolby Vision.
Q: Would I get any significant improvement if I have my new 65" LG OLED flat screen TV calibrated?
A: Dear EKJ: I don't know if this will help or not, but I bought a 55" LG OLED flat screen earlier this summer and, although it was beautiful, I knew it could be better. At first I tried to save myself some money and self-calibrate using a Blu-ray disc that I bought online. Although it was better than before, I felt that there was still considerable room for improvement, so I finally decided to take the plunge and get a professional calibration done via Geek Squad. Wow! You might have a different experience, based on who is actually doing the calibration and their level of expertise, but I can tell you that it was worth every penny in my case to have the OLED done right. It's been about a month now and I'm blown away by the accuracy of the colors and contrasts. Live sports are awesome, and I just bought an Xbox One S to take advantage of the sets HDR capabilities. Wow and Wow again! In your case you're comparing the OLED to a recent Samsung, so I can't speak to the difference or improvement you'll see. I was coming off of a 13-year old Sony, one of the early 1080i HD sets, so I find the calibrated OLED truly stunning. Best of luck with your decision, but I would highly recommend spending another $250 on top of the 5 grand to get the best results possible.
Q: Just Purchased a TCL 75' Q825 would this calibration improve the picture quality?
A: I dont know anything about TCL. I purchased a 4k Samsung 65” and added the tv calibration service. The picture quality was very good out of the box.... definitely not perfect. I also have the 4k hdmi cables. After using the tv for 100 hours I scheduled the calibration service. Now the picture quality is amazing... especially for 4k ultra hd dvds. The most disappointing part of the calibration service is the technician who performed the service said the tv will never look as good as in the store because of how they setup the tvs to get us to buy them - essentially we’re all suckers for buying high-end tvs.
Q: What is the difference between this and the $249.99 calibration?
A: A calibration is performed after the TV has been running for 100 hours. It does not involve set up, programming, and connecting sources. It takes about 90 minutes and involves running a program on their laptop and light sensors to determine the best color quality for your TV and the room you have it in. Every calibration is different. It is the best thing you can do to your television, it improves picture quality and reduces power consumption to help your TV last longer.
A: You will have to calibrate for BOTH inputs. Or pay twice for 2 separate TVS.
Q: How soon after buying a brand new tv should you have it calibrated?
A: I believe the minimum is 100 hours. But I would use the television a little longer and then get it calibrated.
Q: Are you still offering tv calibration services in home during the pandemic?
A: Yes! They were in my home on May 28th. Geek Squad did a great job. They had coverings for their face and their feet.
