Solid ice cream maker, very cheap

I have some experience with a much nicer ice cream machine, so this one was a little counter-intuitive at first. You freeze the bowl and refrigerate your ice cream ingredients, and then this machine acts essentially just as an automated paddle while the bowl freezes your ice cream. Thus, it requires a little more foresight than a model with built-in refrigeration. That said, once you get the hang of it, it works great and very quickly and it's so cheap. I use mine primarily to make coconut ice cream as I'm lactose intolerant, and it's paid itself off very quickly: Coconut ice cream is about $6/pint in stores, $1.50 a pint at home. The thing cost me $24, that's six batches and it's worth it.

Great for small batches.

It's so easy to use and so far the ice cream and frozen yogurt that I've made is really good. I like that I can make my own and it's all natural and with less sugar.

Does exactly what it says

It's great for home use. The bucket is just the right size to fit in a standard freezer. I never made ice cream in my life before I tried this ice cream maker. It was so easy and fun! My ice cream came out kinda soft but it could be the ingredients and not necessarily the maker.

It does not freeze all the way so you do have to freeze it.

I truly had to get used to the sound...it seemed so loud at first. Now I realize my old unit simply didn't work well. This unit is great. Does the job quickly and completely. Make sure to run lots of water...but that is true for all garbage disposals.

I needed a ice cream maker but did not want a big want. This one works perfect and happy I do not have to go buy ice and salt every time I want ice cream!
