Chill out with this compact, portable Honeywell evaporative cooler. The 5.3-gal. water capacity minimizes the need for refills, and five speeds and an adjustable humidification level let you adapt it to any environment by pressing a button. This Honeywell evaporative cooler has an eight-hour timer and an automatic low water alarm for worry-free operation.
Note: This unit is not an air conditioner and does not have a compressor or condenser inside. Evaporative coolers are designed for spot cooling and will not lower a room's ambient temperature. This unit is best used in dry climates or open spaces. Keep a window or door open to limit the rise of humidity and for better ventilation. Add ice to the tank and set the unit near you for optimal results.
Q: Does this unit require venting?
A: This unit does not require venting but needs an opened window for circulation.
Q: Do you add ice ? Does it get cool?
A: You can add ice and it does make the air cooler.
Q: I have a shed about 200sqft do you think this would keep it cold?
A: Hi there, Thank you very much for sending over your question. This unit has a cooling capacity of up to 280 square feet.
Q: does the cooler have a remote control feature ?
A: Hi malibu! The Honeywell Portable Indoor Evaporative Air Cooler does come with a remote control. I hope this was helpful! Have a great day.
A: The unit runs at 250 watts. The generator will be sufficient to run the unit, but the unit will only operate at its best depending on humidity levels in your area. With high humidity levels the unit will not function properly.
A: It will only cool one small room. In a dry climate it will cool about 100 s.f. down 10 to 15 degrees F. 200 s.f. perhaps 5 to 10 degrees.
Q: Is this a portable ac can it be used to cool a basement If the building?
A: Hi, Thanks for your question. This unit is our Portable Evaporative Air Cooler, which differs from our Portable Air Conditioners. Our evaporative air coolers use the natural processes of water evaporation to cool incoming hot air and use a powerful fan to evenly distribute the newly cooled air. The temperature of dry air can drop significantly when liquid water transforms to water vapor through evaporation. As long as your basement has windows or a door for proper cross ventilation, you'll be able to use this unit.
Q: how many gallons fills the tank
A: The water tank capacity for this unit is 5.3 gallons. Please feel free to write to us at usinfo2jmatek.com, or visit our website https://honeywellaircomfort.com/product/cl201ae/ for more product specifications. Thank You !
