A: The unit runs at 250 watts. The generator will be sufficient to run the unit, but the unit will only operate at its best depending on humidity levels in your area. With high humidity levels the unit will not function properly.
A: It will only cool one small room. In a dry climate it will cool about 100 s.f. down 10 to 15 degrees F. 200 s.f. perhaps 5 to 10 degrees.

Our evaporative air coolers use the natural processes of water evaporation to cool incoming hot air and use a powerful fan to evenly distribute the newly cooled air. The temperature of dry air can drop significantly when liquid water transforms to water vapor through evaporation. As long as your basement has windows or a door for proper cross ventilation, you'll be able to use this unit.
