Q: Is this a good laptop for a High School Student?
A: My daughter and I just purchased one each of this computer after speaking with a Best Buy "computer education" person named Jennifer for over 30 minutes about the best laptop for our needs, for the price. My daughter is a high school teacher, Advanced LA4 and Literature. I am a learning coach. This is a strong, solid machine. We did purchase the additional Office for a reduced price (offered with the purchase). I would recommend purchasing Office, needed for Powerpoint and other quality document work, valuable for a student. As we narrowed all computer options down to this one, we felt it was the best bang for the buck (even with the Office price of 65.00). With us both using the computer for educational purposes, we feel it is a fine choice for a student.
Q: charger needed? does it come with it or is there a seperate purchase needed?
A: This unit comes with an AC wall charger.
A: There are no monthly charges for using the laptop. However, you would need to have an internet contract with your internet service provider for the wireless service.
Q: Does this computer come with Word?
A: This HP notebook PC does not come with any Microsoft Office programs preinstalled. I apologize for the inconvenience.
