Q: Is this intel i7 a quad core or dual core processor and do you all have layaway
A: The processor is dual core but with hyper-threading technology, where each core will work as powerful as two cores. So performance wise it will be similar to quad core.
Q: Specifications say there are 4 3.0 USB ports but I'm only finding 3. What am I missing?
A: Good question. The 4th USB 3.0 port is a USB-C port. I hope this helps.

Q: Does this particular laptop have a backlit keyboard?
A: To the other person who commented, press Function 5 key to turn your back-light on and off.
A: It only has 3 connections. And the speaker and camera system are extremely nice. But the laptop, in general, is a horrible laptop. I have always owned HP products, I bought this Laptop when it first came out, I only use it for Post Grad, Post Med, school, not my primary computer, and the performance is just horrible. Nothing saved to computer or cloud, I have everything on Flash Drives. Only programs installed on here are Office 365 Pro Plus, Acrobat Reader DC Pro, Acrobat Creative Cloud. I literally had Microsoft go through and delete every thing not needed for school or research, and it still performs horrible. Not a good computer, just that simple. Not sure what happened here; it has this i7 processor, all of this memory (that I don't use) and it just doesn't perform. Would not recommend to anyone!!! Sorry if you were considering this product, just don't want anyone to waste their money like I did!
Q: what do you mean this unit has no vents or fans? isnt it going to over heat?
A: The vents are along the back so that the large internal fan blows the air onto the bottom of the display screen. This ensures that it will not blow hot air into the user's face. When the screen is folded shut, it covers the vent slots in the back so that you are carrying the computer without the vents exposed to debris getting in.
