Impossible made possible Posted by: from: Snellville, GA on When I say you can use this Mouse on everything, I mean it. You can use it on a counter top from far enough away to where you can't see the pointer on your screen; you can use it on your jacket that's sitting on the back of your chair; you can use it on the carpet if you wanted to! I kid you not, this thing will even work if you put it on a plant. There just happened to be in the room so I said WHY NOT?? Lol. Great speed and dependability and GREAT price. Why wouldn't you get one?

False information Posted by: from: Toledo Oh on The dimension given on bestbuy web page is false. This is a super mini sized mouse, not even close to reaching the acclaimed 4.4in, the measured length of the mouse is only 3.6in. I only purchased this item because I was tricked by the info provided. Very disappointed.

Does the job Posted by: from: San Marcos, CA on The mouse connects well. I have tried it on a couple of different computers, but I use it primarily with my laptop. It has connected plug & play without issue thus far. Initial setup was a little buggy but it self-resolved with a restart. The plug is small enough that I typically leave it plugged into my laptop. Keep in mind that, depending upon your settings, you'll need to turn off the mouse when you shut your laptop lid because with the optical tracking active, it may wake your system up (thus draining your battery). The mouse is pretty compact, but seems to be more fragile than others. I had to reconnect a switch on one of the button clickers because it went out of place with a soft drop on the floor. If you have a coupon code of some sort to buy this mouse for cheaper than it's normal price, I'd say it's a good buy. I probably wouldn't buy it at its regular price. There are too many alternatives that work just as well to do so.

Great wireless mouse. Posted by: from: on Before I bought the HP - x3000 Wireless Optical Mouse, I preferred using a wired mouse, because all the wireless mouses I had bought prior to this one either didn't work properly, or had to have the battery changed every few weeks. I bought the HP - x3000 Wireless Optical Mouse several months ago, and it has worked perfectly; furthermore, I haven't yet had to change the battery despite the fact that I often forget to turn off the mouse before I go to bed. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Great Value for Wireless Mouse Posted by: from: on I bought this as I just needed a small wireless mouse for my Microsoft Surface. It not only was very affordable, but it also is small and works just as good as a high end mouse. Great purchase.

I returned it Posted by: from: on To be fair, I barely used it. However, it is small and was uncomfortable for my big hands to curl up and use. The texture on the bottom sides that looks like it may be a rubber-like grip is just plastic and adds no comfort. I bought on clearance for $8. I still returned it.

Device not recognized; no driver available Posted by: from: on I have been unable to get this mouse to work on my computer. When I plug it in to my Windows Vista system and turn it on, it does not plug-and-play; the device is not recognized. (The packaging says it is Vista-compatible.) When I went to the HP site to find a driver, a search told me a driver is not available. (Drivers are available for other models.) HP customer service is almost non-existent unless you pay, which I will not do for a mouse; the only other help available (other than a useless FAQ) is a community forum, on which the only response I got, from an HP rep, was a demeaning question about whether I'd plugged in the receiver and turned on the mouse. (I had; this is not my first wireless mouse.) Other devices plug-and-play on my computer, and I think it's unconscionable for HP to sell a product for which I can't download a driver. In addition, the mouse arrived in the mail with the packaging crushed (which I imagine is Best Buy's fault and/or the shippers').

Good quality for the price Posted by: from: on The HP wireless mouse is a good value and a great price. The plug and play ability is perfect even for using with a BIOS with mouse capabilities before booting into Windows first. The DPI could be a bit better and the pointer seems to miss the mark on several occasions.
