Q: I am looking for a smart bulbs for my garage door(3) and deck(2) (outdoor). My questions are- Can i schedule to turn on/off everyday at a specific time? Do i need any additional hub or anything? Can i control them when i am not at home?

A: Hi there! Thanks for reaching out, great questions. Yes, you can absolutely schedule ilumi to turn on/off at specific times, with no hub required. One of the cooler features about ilumi is that they don't require a hub or additional hardware--all of the 'smarts' are contained within the bulb. This allows you to set schedules that will be stored in the bulb itself, allowing them to trigger automatically at their designated time without the phone needing to be in range. That said, ilumi are not able to be controlled when you are not at home. Bluetooth allows for more robust, reliable localized control but comes with the drawback of not having remote connectivity. However, we've found that most use cases for controlling your bulbs remotely are met with our scheduling functionality. We even have a dedicated Vacation Mode that will turn your bulbs on and off randomly during the evening hours when you leave town, giving the appearance that someone is home and moving room to room. Q: How long does it take for the bluetooth to connect to the bulb? I want to use this when I pull up to my house but do not want to sit in the driveway waiting for the bluetooth to connect.

A: Once configured, it only takes a few seconds on my system of lights.

Q: If I have the color set and turn off the light from a switch, will the color of the light be the same when turned back on, or will it go to a default color?

Q: What is the outside temperature this bulb is rated? I live in Maine and I don't recall seeing this in the specs.

A: Hey there, our Outdoor BR30 Floodlight is rated for outdoor use of the following temperature range : -20 to 30, degrees Celsius.

Q: I have 3 of these that are set to turn on and off on a schedule. Every time they turn on or off it's never all of them. Some days 1 turn on, some days 2, rarely all 3 - any ideas how to make this work?

A: I have 6 of these outdoor floods hooked up to a single wifi wemo switch. I haven't used the ilumi app scheduler. I used the ilumi app for one thing only - to set the default colors for each bulb. The wemo wifi switch has worked perfectly for the month it's been in service.

Q: How do you get the light to adjust to music and what are the options for that? Does it flash, brighter- darker, change colors, etc?
