A: YES AND NO. yes it will work which will charge most but, not all. No, will still work but, since the power of the playstation is limited it will tell you that some USB isn't charging correctly and tell you that you need to disconnect one or more of them.

A: No, i had this on my PS4 and just bought the pro last week, this does not fit the pro. Thankfully it only cost me 5$ so no great loss.

A: It absolutely will. The blue colored USB port is the 3.0 port for an external hard drive. Just make sure your external hard drive also uses a 3.0 USB connection as that is the only one that the ps4 will use.

Works excellent
I bought a similar unit from Amazon and had nothing but connection problems and I returned it. I bought this one from best buy with a free $10 gift and has worked perfect.

Works perfectly.
I bought this item because I had just recently got an external hard drive to beef up our PS 4's storage and thought having a few more available USB ports would be a good idea. This thing fits the bill perfectly. The hard drive is plugged in to the 3.0 port, my kids LEGO Dimensions and Disney Infinity bases are plugged in and we still have two free USB ports. It was easy to install, locked right into place. It works exactly like it should. What more can you ask for? I see that Best Buy is selling a new model that has only four ports but they're all 3.0. It seems that this one is going to be discontinued. If you're going to be using multiple hard drives (as I'm sure we will eventually) that might be the one to get. Until then this one is perfect.

Best thing I got for my PS4
This Product does exactly what it was made for. I'm glad I bought this when I saw it. It helps when you need multiple controllers that need to be charged and don't want to disconnect your USB Headset. I had no problem with it only felt like I was going to break it when attaching it to the PS4 for the first time, other than that it works like a charm. If you're the kind of person who gets distracted or annoyed of lights when gaming then you might not like it. When connected it will always have this blue light that's a little brighter than what the PS4 shows but to me it's not that bad, just thought you may want to know just in case.
