Q: Can this converter be used in Europe for charging phone?

A: Yes, there is a setting to use for Europe.

Q: Will this work in the Philippines and can I plug in power strip to charge my phone, ipod etc.. at the same time?

A: Unfortunately, this inverter failed to work as expected, for me in the Philippines. Maybe I had the only 'lemon', but it failed to work for me during our visit in the PI, and connected to their 220V. I detected a faint 'burned elect. smell' immediately after my first attempt with plugging it in.

Q: Will this work in Jordan and the Holy Land?

A: Definitely worked throughout Israel, and I would assume it would be fine in Jordan.

Q: How can I tell how many watts my devices are? The only one that shows watts is iPad's charger (10W). The charger for my camera's battery says "Input: 100-240V AC, 50/60Hz, 100mA(max)" How does that translate to watts? I don't want to destroy my stuff!

A: You do not neat an adapter because your device uses any voltage between100 and 240 volts Just you need an adapter plug. Your device uses max 24 watt's ( 240 V X 0.1 Amps = 24 Watts).

Q: Can this be used in Ireland for curling iron and blow dryers?

A: The adapter portion of this model can adapt to the plug type used in the United Kingdom. If the device you wish to use is less than 25 watts, you cannot use this converter at all. If the devices you wish to use are between 26 and 1875 watts, the converter can be used, but only for short periods of time, 10 minutes or less. Also, I would recommend checking with the manufacturer of your devices to know the wattage and if they are compatible with converters at all.

Q: Can this device be used in India?

A: No, India uses plug type D, which this does not adapt to.

Q: I have an insignia NS-MTA1875 that has only been used twice since I purchased it1 year ago. It is no longer functioning. Is there a fuse that can be replaced?

A: As you can see in the attached photo, there are two non-user replaceable fuses. The vertical fuse is for the adaptor (no change in voltage). The horizontal fuse is for the converter (Change 240 to 120 volts). Overload will blow that fuse and render that portion inoperative. Adaptor portion is rated for 575 watts at 230 volts. 240V hair dryers will draw 1,200 watts, or more than twice rated power, blowing the fuse. And 2,400 watts if you accidently left it on the 120 volt setting. So you cannot use the adapter portion for hair dryers and other heating appliances that consume more than 575 watts. Device is designed only for 120V hair dryers. The converter portion is rated for up to 1,875 watts (for 120 volt appliance) I could not read the fuse ratings. In the photo, the vertical fuse for the adapter portion is blown (fuse element is melted open), rendering the adaptor portion inoperative.
