Q: Can you escalate the use of this kit by adding more receivers?
A: From what I understand, the base is factory set to only one reviewer and is not expandable. I wished to do this as well and did a lot of research on it. It does work well with the single though. They also sell a two receiver model... But considerably more expensive.
A: Difficult to tell, the distance is well within specs , the type of wall and the pipes running through it will impact performance. If you get decent WiFi signal through both walls , you have a good chance to get it to work. but no guarantees you will have to try it and find out
Q: 4K UHD on loop through port?
A: Thank you for considering IOGEAR! Unfortunately, the GW3DHDKIT will not pass a 4K signal through the local pass through port. We are in the process of developing a kit that will transmit a 4K signal, though it's not quite ready for market. Thank you, IOGEAR Technical Support
A: You don't need 2 TV's. It just has the capability to do 2 which is the main feature. There are other devices it seems that will fit your need. But if you are happy with this device it will work.
A: i'm using it with my cable box to 2 TVs. there is no lag in sound or video
A: It is not the number of inputs that matter .It is the output it comes in between the out put of the home theater receiver and your TV. Transmitter connects to Receiver , local TV loops through the transmitter. Whatever the receiver is outputting it will display on the remote monitor. You can additionally add one more device to the transmitter to display one device on the local TV and the second device on the remote TV.
A: Should work , best check is to see the quality of a WiFi signal from a router or access point. if that works this should work.
Q: Can you watch different channels in each room at the same time?
A: No. The transmitter has 2 different HDMI inputs. I only use one. Both the transmitter and the receiver are showing the same show. When you pick the other input, it outputs that input on both ends at the same time.
