Q: Why won't the headset hold a charge?
A: This model is intended to go on standby mode *when not connected to Bluetooth*--you don't necessarily need to turn it off when it's disconnected, but being connected in itself drains battery, whether you're talking on it or not. Attached are two screen shots from the Jabra website of the battery-related FAQ and the Tech Specs on battery as well. It has an 9-day stand-by life from a FULL charge, with NO use, and a 9-hour active battery life. What this translates to is for every one hour of active use (Which can be as simple as connected to your phone and not playing anything through it or being on a call) you will lose one day of standby time. Things that can affect your battery performance are: extreme temperatures--I'm guilty of keeping mine in my car, in Wisconsin, where it gets as high as 90 outside now, but as low as -20 (and colder) in the winter; sound preferences--I've found that my battery drains faster when I have my headset volume turned all the way up (minor work-around: turn your device volume all the way up, but use a lower setting on your headset); and leaving it turned on even when it's not connected. The best way to preserve a charge is to turn your device off when you're not going to be wearing it. When you turn Bluetooth on on your device and turn the headset back on, it will still auto-connect, so there should be no worries there. I hope this helped!
