Q: How far apart can the shelves be placed? I need at least a 13 inch gap.

A: The height of the shelving unit is 21".
Q: Can you mount this to a metal studded wall?
A: We do not actually provide instructions or hardware for mounting into metal studs. The AVS2 does comes with hardware to mount into drywall though so it's not necessary to install into wood studs or concrete. If you need to line up your AV components directly on a metal stud you may need to use additional hardware like toggle bolts rather than the hardware we provide.
