A: We use it on a Pro series 5 qt and love it. Be patient with the first assembly. It looks like it doesn't work but it does
Q: Does this machine require ice to make the ice cream?
A: The mixer bowl is the chiller. Per the manual - It must be in the freezer 15 hours before each use. No additional ice is required. The liquid ingredients must also be chilled for no less than six hours for a successful operation. So, given the required preparation that is required of this attachment, it is not really qualified as a spur the moment, “Hey! Let’s make some ice cream!“ device. It’s not as handy as you may like it to be. But, it does the job quite well as it is designed to do.
Q: Does this attachment come with recipes ?
A: There are ice cream making tips and suggestions and a few recipes included with the instruction manual that comes with the ice cream making attachment. You can down load the manual as a PDF directly from the kitchen-aid website if you want to check it out before buying.
A: You don't have to use any certain mix. We have tried several different recipes from various websites. Each one has been wonderful!

A: I think it will. The bowl has the fittings on the outside to fit on like your mixing bowl does.

A: Hi KitchenAid, All of the attachments are universal on all models of KitchenAid Stand Mixers.
Q: Will this bowl fit in a Classic Plus series mixer which has a standard 4.5 qt bowl?
A: I use this in my Classic Plus mixer so it will work.
