With 67-point planetary mixing action and 10-speed controls, you can easily prepare appetizers, entrees and desserts. The electronic speed sensor will keep your speed consistent to ensure a tasty blend of ingredients.

  • Bowl-lift design offers seamless beater-to-bowl contact: Raise the bowl into a stable mixing position to prepare your favorite recipes.
  • 10-speed control offers a variety of mixing options: From a slow stir to a very fast whip, this mixer has a speed to suit multiple culinary needs. An electronic sensor maintains each speed for optimum results.
  • Blend ingredients with planetary mixing action: Revolving motion ensures that the blades touch the bowl at 67 points for balanced results.

  • 3 beater attachments included for a variety of tasks: Dishwasher-safe, nylon-coated flat beater and dough hook for blending thick batters and kneading stiff bread dough. 6-wire whip injects air into eggs and cream for fluffy mousses and more.
  • Power hub fits optional attachments (not included): Diversify your cooking and baking skills by adding attachments like a pasta maker, citrus juicer, ice cream maker and more. (Each sold separately.)

Q: I have had a tilt head for many years but just recently broke. Cannot decide to get another tilt head or the bowl lift. Any opinions on which one to get please

A: Lifts are much sturdier. No joint, heavier motor housing, stronger motor all translate to more power and longer life. The lift is less convenient to use than the tilt, but is much more reliable. I've seen thick mixes cause the joint on a lift to wiggle loose, causing the head to wobble back and forth and fail to get an even mix at the edges - not a problem for a lift.

Q: Are the gears on this model made of metal?

A: The KitchenAid Professional 600 Stand Mixer does have all metal gears.

Q: how many cup capacity

A: About 14 cups capacity

Q: Can the attachments from a series 5 be used on this one?

A: No. Different bowl sizes need different attachments to get the coverage touching the edges of the bowl. Small attachments for a large bowl won't mix the edges, large attachments for a small bowl will ram into the sides.

Q: does this mixer have a soft start feature?

A: Yes, it sounds like it struggles at first but it is designed to have a fade up to the power.

Q: Are the attachments stainless steel or coated? Photo shows stainless steel. Please advise

A: They are coated/painted. Seems to hold up well. However I can say for a fact the previous models weren’t stainless anyway. They always been aluminum like these are, they just weren’t coated. Both versions hold up well, however the coating prevents and corrosion.
