Great smoker for a beginner

Overall, this is a nice smoker. The assembly instructions were simple enough to follow and it only took me about thirty minutes from unboxing to being ready to use. One word of caution, though, the plastic feet are evidently quite fragile. I lost one somewhere between putting it together in my living room and rolling it out to my deck. I still don't know where the foot is (my dogs do).
Also, unlike the Bradley smokers, this things requires pretty frequent addition of wood. I knew that going in, but it still seems worth mentioning.
My only other complaint just a design issue. There's a pan to catch grease drippings, however it's below the water pan and smoke box. This might have been unavoidable, but it still makes that drip pan nearly worthless. All the grease seems to fall into the water pan or on top of the smoke box.

Landmann sent scratched and or dented unit TWICE

Let me start by saying that I am not a complainer. That being said, here's the scoop
I purchased this smoker on November 22, 2013 and I waited patiently for the unit to show up.December 2 it gets here and I'm as excited as a sailor on shore-leave!
I open the box and discover that it has been damaged in shipping. O.K. stuff happens, I realize this. So I went through the process of getting a replacement unit sent to me.
December 9 it shows up. I'm happy to see it but the initial glee has long since vanished. Looking at the package, I am troubled to see that this is not a new box, rather, this box has been opened before and it's obvious that whomever opened it was in a hurry. This box had to be basically reconstructed with packaging tape. Upon inspection of the contents, This unit has dents and scratches as if it were a floor model. Obviously the Landmann Company had sent me a unit that was already returned to their company before. Pretty shady...
So I call Best Buy and told them the scoop. They wouldn't initiate another return. Rather, they said that I will have to return this P.O.S. to the factory, wait for a refund, and then buy it again from Best Buy.
Meanwhile, I have a freezer full of venison that needs attention and instead of being able to use this $250.00 smoker, I'm stuck here waiting for Landmann to get their act together and oh, by the way, Best Buy, thanks for taking care of the situation in a fast and professional manner-NOT!
So... It looks like I won't be putting up those snack sticks or venison brats until January at the earliest.
Best Buy, I'm sorry but you are off my Christmas list this year. I will buy from (Dare I say it?) Walmart and Amazon.
Way to drop that ball.
