A: The fit and finish of my device is really top notch, everything you touch is brushed metal yet doesn't get hot after long hours. I'd go check one out and see for yourself but honestly I am impressed with Lenovo's engineering here. Also the 4K screen is one of the best panels I have ever laid my eyes on.
A: Yes it does! I love it!
A: no, but it is not particularly shiny.
A: I also have this laptop and noticed a slight grinding/ scratching sound from the right top area when scrolling with the mouse in addition to the fan always running. What you have to do is right-click on the battery icon on the bottom right and select the "Power Saver" plan in the "Choose or customize a power plan" option. The fan runs a lot less and the scratching sound is gone. I tried Lenovo support but they weren't any help except to direct me to return the brand new laptop or send it to them for support. Cheers.
Q: What is the external material? Plastic, aluminium?
A: The case on this system is aluminum.
Q: Does the SD card slide completely in to the slot or does it stick out?
A: It will stick out a bit.
Q: What kind if battery life can i expect with this 7th gen and gpu? Thank you!
A: I am getting 8-10 hours typical word processing, emails, net meetings, browsing, using battery saver mode, I upgraded to Win 10 Pro that has allowed me to turn off Win 10 features I do not use. Also updated all of my drivers upon getting the Laptop, many required updates.
Q: I'm experiencing lag when using Google Chrome, is there a way to prevent this?
A: That depends on the type of lag -- internet related or performance related. I have had no issues with the WifI ... but the integrated graphics can strain to run the 4k display. Riught click the chrome shortcut and tell it to run with the high performance GPU -- or if battery life is of concern, drop your desktop screen resolution to 2K. It still looks good, but performs much better.
