A: Yes, but you can choose when the backlighting is on with the Fn key and space bar.
Q: Does this machine come with Word already loaded, and other Office products?
A: No, it did not. It was suggested that I purchase MS Office for $50 when I bought the unit. Based on previous experience, I thought this was a good buy. But when I installed it (using a code needed to download it, I found that this was only for a year.
Q: Is the 1TB HDD in the Yoga 14 a standard SATA3 hard drive?
A: Yes. I swapped mine out for a 840 EVO. Only the thin 2.5" 7mm drives will fit though. 9mm drives will not.
Q: Is there a possibility to add RAM more than 8 GB to this laptop ?
A: Yes there is. The RAM is not soldered on, but it's a single slot.
Q: Does the 14" Thinkpad Yoga from Best Buy come with the digitizer pen?
A: The laptop does not come with the active pen. I got mine directly from Levovo

A: There are 3 total USB ports and the are as follows: 2 USB 3.0 ports on the right side 1 USB 2.0 (powered) on the left side
A: According to a Lenovo rep I chatted with today on their website, the standard model does not come with a digitizer stylus nor is the computer screen able to work with such a tool. However, a digitizer stylus and a compatible screen is available as an option for $250
Q: Hard Drive
A: Yes, it won't be a problem. I've just finished installing mine and it's doing a restore from the restore thumb drive I created.
