A: Contacted LG and they sent Technician. The first thing he did was open the water filter compartment and what he found was that there is no filter but a bye pass attachment. Where houses have there own filter system then one does not need a water filter in the refrigerator so one can attach the buy pass attachment. So I contacted Best Buy and they apologized for the inconvenience. I went and got a water filter (no charge) and attached it in the filter compartment. Now the water is fine and working perfectly. As I was new to this type of refrigerators assumed that everything comes attached. The people who came to install did not also check. So folks request the installers to open and check these items. The fridge is so far running good.
Q: Where is fresh meat stored in this fridge?
A: There is a deli drawer that slides out. It is right at the bottom portion of the top section. It has a temp select option for "MEAT" "DELI" or "PRODUCE".
A: The ice setup is great. Its production exceeds our demand for ice. We like the smaller cubes of ice that it makes
Q: What's the width including the handles. My front door clearance is 32".
A: Depth (front to back) is 35 3/4" with handles, 33 7/8" without handles and 29 " without doors. Width (side to side) is 32 7/8" according to LG specs.
Q: does this frig have crushed ice on the door or just whole ice
A: This frig gives you whole or crushed ice in the ice maker.
A: Yes ice can be stored in bin/ basket provided in freezer. Easily transfered from icemake to storage bin/basket. For daily use icemaker keeps up with 2 adults.
A: No it does not come in black. But you can get one in black Stainless steel.
A: I prefer the LG to the Samsung because of the location of the icemaker. The Samsung's icemaker takes up half of an upper shelve and I've heard that the ice can take on flavor from food in the fridge.
