Not using the recommended detergent can lead to additional rinse cycles and increased water usage.)

An agitator is a column located in the center of the washing tub. It may be finned or vaned, and works to clean clothes by rotating and rubbing against clothes to break down stains. An impeller is a low-profile cone at the bottom of the tub that uses fins, cones, or discs to create motion. Q: Does the tub drop down 2inches when its full of laundry and water?

A: Please contact our Support Center at (800) 243-0000 and arrange to have your ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.7 Cu.Ft. Mega Capacity Top Load Washer With TurboWash® Technology, Model # WT7700HWA inspected if the tub is dropping down lower when it has laundry and water in it than when it is empty...^IFV

Q: What are the dimensions for this washer?

A: The product measures 29" x 45" x 32 1/4" (55 3/4" H with lid open).

Q: Does this washer have an agitator?

A: I have used washers with and without agitators. I didn't like the agitators because I couldn't put large loads in. I can put darn near anything in my no agitator washer; the clothes get clean when it's several small pieces of clothing but do not come clean IF it is something like a blanket. I have a Kenmore Oasis Washer and it always lays the blanket to where the center of the blanket is in the center of the tub and it tucks the ends of the blanket underneath and the blanket is laying in the tub like a big donut (with no hole in the middle of course) but where the hole of a donut would be, there's always a big pile of dirt and dog hair laying there top and center! So most of my dirt ends up in a pile on top of my blankets. IDK if this is the same with all washers and dryers but I get a ton of dog hair in the dryer filter - I wonder why that stuff didn't come out in the washer. Maybe I'm expecting too much from my washer. I would like to hear if anyone else has this same experience. In a nutshell - I think clothes get a better wash with an agitator.

Q: Can you control the water level. My current washer does not add enough water to cover the clothes for washing

A: The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.7 cu.ft. 14-Cycle Mega Capacity High-Efficiency Top Load Washer With TurboWash® Technology and Steam, Model # WT7700HWA automatically adjusts the water level according to the size of your load. However, it also has a Water Plus option that you can use to add more water to your wash load. If the washing machine reaches its maximum water level, the Water Plus button will have no effect...^IFV

Q: Does this machine have SmartThinQ? I would like a washer with the ability to use a smartphone app, but it is not clear if this particular model WT7700WVA has that ability. Thank you!

A: The WT7700WVA does not have SmartThinQ. It does feature SmartDiagnosis. We would be happy to help you find a washing machine that fits your needs best. Our support team is available via Twitter @LGUSSupport, Facebook https://www.facebook.com/LGUSA/ or you can give us a call at 800-243-0000. ^CP

Q: Washing machine keeps displaying a dL error. The lock would not engage. I have tried restarting it many times, but it still would keep displaying the same error. I also unplugged it for couple of hours to weeks and tried it again. How can I fix it?

A: A dL error code on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.7 cu.ft. 14-Cycle Mega Capacity Top Load Washer With TurboWash® Technology, Model # WT7700HWA indicates that the door latch switch is not functioning properly. There are possible causes that could lead to the display showing the error code such as: An item could be caught inside the door. Remove the item then unplug the unit for 10 seconds. Plug the unit back in and try to start the cycle again. The door switch may be faulty or the door latch itself may be damaged. If the dL error code persists, the unit will require a repair service...^IFV
