A: We would need some clarification on what criteria meets your assessment of "good for games". Although Input Lag is not an official TV specification, there are sites that have measured the Input Lag for this TV at 31.4 ms which is considered fast enough for any fast-paced game and even outside game mode, with an Input Lag of 48.7 ms, it is still remains at playable levels and allows for more picture options which you do not get in game mode. Most people do not notice under 50 ms of Input Lag, but if you're a competitive gamer, you'll definitely want something under 40 ms. HDR which stands for High Dynamic Range, expands the range of of a TVs contrast ratio and its' color palette to give you a more realistic, natural image than on TVs that do not support that standard. A: HDR, high dynamic range, is basically ten bit digital color. Current 1080p always has been digital, but is limited to only 8 bits. Note it matters only when viewing an HDR capable source, such as a 4k bluray player.
